Be happy because I'm pretty much abandoning all my other books for this one.

Don't you smile.

Percy's POV

Both Des's and my head snapped towards the squeaky voice.

A tall, skinny girl with a high bleached ponytail stood in front of another girl and two boys. The girl who had spoken was wearing a striking, pink jeans with a white blouse.

I recognized the girl behind her as Selena as she was quite popular. She was wearing black crop top and shorts with canvas boots.

The two guys were tall, about my height, and obviously jocks.

Oh, yeah. My conclusion?

This can't be good.

O. O. O.

Des's POV

"Look at pretty, pretty Dessy! All grown up! I'm 'so proud' of her!"

Caitlyn spoke with mockery in her voice and Selena let out a high pitched snort. Anthony and Vincent remained stiff as rocks .

My stomach flipped uneasily when Caitlyn sat on our table. She twirled a lock of her hair with her finger and winked at Percy flirtatiously.

Rage built up in my heart as Selena sat on Percy's lap. Last time, I would have ran away, crying. Now, I was most definitely offended and hurt but I wasn't going to run.

"And I see you haven't. I mean with those Disney Princess jeans."

I shot back at Caitlyn and she turned to me astonished. Percy did the same.

My eyes must had flashed with a tinge of hurt because Percy immediately pushed Selena and his lap.

"Seriously, girls-"

Caitlyn hopped off the table and Selena joined her as they surrounded Percy.

"You are polluting Des's precious oxygen. So do you mind going back to whatever unfortunate cave you came from?"

I bit my cheeks to stop myself from laughing hysterically but like always, to no avail. Caitlyn and Selena looked stumped.

What I really didn't realize was that Percy was clenching his fist and shaking from anger.

Anthony and Vincent pulled two very pissed off girls behind them while glaring menacingly at Percy.

Percy stood up to them as well, with his chin held high. I've never seen him this angry before. His jaw flexed back as he tighten his fist.

"What do you think insulting these two ladies like that?!"

Anthony shouted at him in a strong Australian accent. Everyone in the cafe was staring at our table.

I also was dazzled until I heard two smug snickers from Caitlyn and Selena.

I had to admit.

This side of Percy scared me.

Before I knew it, Percy's fist reached Anthony's stomach and he helped in pain. Vincent punched Percy in the face, giving him a bloody nose.

It didn't end there. My heart filled with surreal fear and I was panicking. I was scared for Percy and on the other hand, I was frightened of Percy.

Percy wiped the trail of blood away and kneed Vincent. Vincent fell to the ground but right then, Anthony unexpectedly appeared behind Percy and kicked him.

I yelled and cried as I watched Percy slowly fall to the ground.

Apparently, Percy was a better fighter than I thought.

Vincent quickly shuffled to his feet and tried to tackle Percy but Percy elbowed him.

I shot up and pushed my way through the two girls. Immediately pulling Percy back, I stopped him from kicking Anthony and Vincent.

His arms were bruised and his nose kept bleeding. His two victims were in very bad shape.

Vincent was knocked out cold.

I grabbed Percy by the arm and forced him to look at me. It was the first time I didn't drown in those eyes. They were just steel.

"What was that Percy?!"

The whole place quieted down and the cheering stopped at the sound of my husky, disappointed voice.

My lips tasted salty and I realized I was crying.

"Des! They were hurting you! I couldn't just-"

Only then did I realize Percy's one, ultimate flaw.

He was bipolar.

How did I interrupt him? Here's how.

I slapped him.

O. O. O.
O. O.

Close your mouths. :0

Whose fault do you think it is between Dersy? (danikriss Thx :D )

Was Percy too hot tempered or Des too dramatic?

Probably both. ;P
How was it? Too fast?

Anyways, you know what to do!
