Joan's POV

"You what?! How could abandon your sister like that?! I trusted you for two days! And look where's that've gotten us! I will inform your mother immediately. Report her missing right now, young lady."

I felt faint at the thought of my poor little angel, alone and afraid. Or worse.

The slightest thought of the possibility that my baby was taken made the tears sting as they rolled down my cheeks.

Dan and I had trusted her for two days while we were away. Two days and she've lost our precious sweetheart. My heart shattered and I choked on the lump in my swelling throat.

"I've should have called Penelope to babysit. This is my fault!"

Dan slammed his clenched fist against his office desk. I stood up from the red leather couch, with shaky legs, and stumbled to wards my husband.

"Honey, don't do that. And you're hurting yourself."

Gently picking up his hand, I rubbed his red, bruised knuckles and he cupped my face slowly.

"I'm so, so, sorry. We will find her, I swear on it. We'll do everything it takes. Then, Caitlyn will pay a steep price for losing her little sister, Ellie. I'll contact everyone I know and we leave Hawaii in three hours. I call our pilot, James and he'll be ready for flight then."

"Honey, I know you will find her-" I placed my palms on his hands and held back my tears," but Caitlyn is not completely at fault. I've should have been a good mother and been there with her. I shouldn't be so caught up with myself and-"

Dan pulled his hands away from my face and the warmth which soothed me vanished. He grabbed my small hands with his large ones while shaking his head violently.

"Joan, you followed me here because you had to. I know you want to be a good mother and you are , Joan."

"No, Dan. Is leaving her children at home every month what a good mother practices?"

"Joan, sweetie."

"Don't. I've decided to resign from my post of CEO of Catchers' Company."

Opening his mouth, I put a finger on his plump lips and shook my head.

"No, this isn't a rash decision. I've came to my senses, my daughters need me and I need them. And Skype doesn't help. I'm sorry for abandoning you like this in the middle of the project both of our companies working together on."

Dan brought my knuckles to his soft lips and nodded grimly. I let out a silent 'thank you' and let my thoughts wander back to where my Ellie could be.

Third's person POV (Narrate)

The gentleman eventually led his beautiful wife to the red leather couch as her tears silently rolled down her cheeks.

Dan Theo was undeniably charming and had a very attractive appearance. Although his aura was calm and cool, he had a slight problem with his temper. Standing at 6'1, he seemed vey fit despite that he was in his fifties. His dark, stuff hair was combed back neatly and his jaw was broad alike his shoulders. His pitch black eyes shimmered with anxiety at the thought of his lost daughter.

Fiddling with his black tie, he couldn't fight done the look of worry which was plastered over his face.

Joan Theo, or Mdm. Catcher, defined elegance and beauty. With high cheek bones and perfect body figure, she could have won over any man but yet, she chose Dan even when she had married him, he was penniless. Her long, silky brown locks brushed her shoulders and made her look even more appealing.

A simple word to describe Dan's office? Breathtaking. Polished with red and white furniture and decorations, the black and grey walls stood tall and proud. His desk was glass and so was the whole wall behind him. A large window with a view.

Joan jumped at the ring of the phone. Running to grab it, she picked it up with her husband at her heels.

"Hello? Ellie! Oh my dear God! Are you ok? Where are you? How are you? Who are you with?"

As Joan's motherly instinct took over, she continued to bombard the little voice over the phone with questions.

"Mommy, I'll pass the phone to someone and then you can ask him."

Anxious to hear what his daughter had said, her father had put the phone on speaker and the cute little voice rang clear through the room.

"Hello, Mrs.Theo?"

The British accented voice replaced the small voice .

"Yes, who is speaking , may I ask?"

"Hi, call me Trent."
