Chapter 14: I'm Right Here

Layla's POV

I'm still crying on my bed. Jaiden Rock's next and he's mad. I have to think any solutions to protect him. The doll won't kill him. Suddenly, I heard screams outside my room. I went out and I saw my classmates near the gate of the school.

"What's going on?", I asked them. They point at something outsde the gate. I saw it. I saw Jaiden's body. My tears started to fall. I saw his eyes. He has no eyes and he looks different. He was killed by that cursed doll.

"Go back near the flag!", Mrs. Panganiban commanded and we followed her order.

"I think we should request the guard to let us out of the school.", Chloe suggested.

"Yes. I think that is the right way to do.", Jack said.

"Ok. Let's go to our rooms and let's start fixing our things.", Mary Jane said while I'm silent because of what happened to Jaiden Rock.

I went to my room and I started fixing my things. I still remenber him. He is my boy bestfriend that's why I care for him. I looked at my notebook to see who's next. What? He's next. I started to fix my things and we have to hurry thinking that it will stop the doll from killing us.

Guard's POV

The gates are locked. I just decided to go to my room but I'm just going to walk when I heard something moved on the bushes.

"Who's there?", I asked. I came near the bushes. Then suddenly, something jumped onto me. I was stabbed on the chest.

Jack's POV

I'm looking at the picture of mine with Layla. She was really happy that time. But I'm not seeing that happiness on her anymore becaude of the doll. At first, I already thought that the doll has a mystery. It blinked while I'm observing at Layla's room. I still remember it. I'm right.

I started to fix my things. Suddenly, I felt something is present behind me. I turned around and I saw a man. This is the first time I saw her. He's not even touching the floor. My eyes widened by that.

"Who are you?", I asked but he didn't reply. I rubbed my eyes and after that, he went gone. Have I seen a ghost? Suddenly, someone sent me a text message.

From: Asher

 

Where are you now? We are all here waiting for you. Fix your things faster please.

 

I'm done fixing my things. I went to our meeting place and we went to the gate. We didn't see the guard.

"Where's the guard?", Jaydee Mark asked.

"We all don't know that, ok?", Chloe replied. We knocked on the door of his room but no one was answering back.

"Where the hell is the guard?!", Chloe asked loudly.

"Calm down, ok? Later on, he will come here.", Mary Jane said.

"We have to hurry! We can't go out for the reason that the gate is locked!", Layla said.

"Are you sure about this? What about Ma'am Panganiban?", I asked.

"I already talked to her and she said she'll stay to help Sir Pascual solve the mystery of the doll.", Asher replied.

"What will we do? What took that guard so long?", Layla asked us.

"Let's just wait for him.", Chloe said.

-- After 68 Minutes of Waiting --

"It's already one hour and eight minutes passed by but the guard is still not here.", Mary Jane said. We noticed that there are flies on the bushes. We just ignored it. I'm already dizzy because of Jaydee Mark. He's walking right here and right there. Because of that, he fell to the bushes. We are all shocked by what we saw. We saw the guard's body. He was stabbed on the chest.

"What the hell! How are we going to go out the school?!", Layla asked loudly.

"What the! The doll's resisting us from escaping.", Chloe said.

"But why would she do that?", I asked.

"Because he wants life.", Layla replied.

"Life?", I'm confused. Suddenly, the doll came out from the bushes.

"Ahh!", the girls screamed. We all ran to our rooms but I ran with Layla. We headed to my room but we left my bag. We all closed our doors. We are in different rooms because of too much hastiness. We heard the doll's footsteps on the corridor.

"I'm scared.", Layla said.

"Don't worry. I'm right here. I'll protect you.", I said and I hugged her. She hugged me back.

"I'm sorry, Jack. This is my fault."

"Don't say that. Nobody wants this to happen.", I said. Someone knocked on my door but we are not attempting to open it. The knocks are getting louder. I moved the chairs and tables to the door.

"Stay right there.", I told Layla. The knocks went gone but still, we are not attempting to open the door. We think the doll is outside waiting for us to open the door for her.
