Chapter 1
TIMS POV:
I heard the faint sound of a heart monitor as I slowly began to open my eyes.
Faith, my wife, was sitting in the chair beside the bed I was lying in.
To say she looked mad was an understatement.
"What happened?" I asked. "You were drinking and driving." She said in a cold tone. "Did anyone get hurt besides me?" I asked. "Physically, no. Emotionally, yes." She said.
I gave her a confused look. "What do you mean?" I asked. "I mean that you hurt me. Tim I'm tired of your drinking problem. I told you already, but you don't listen." She said. "I'm sorry." I said. "Sorry doesn't cut it. Now I'm not going to be the only person hurt." She said. "Who else is going to be hurt?" I asked Faith. "The girls. I want a divorce Tim." She said.
"W-What?" I asked struggling to even talk. "You heard me Tim. I want a divorce." She said. "But.. I love you and the girls more than anything." I said crying. "Maybe you should have thought about that before you became addicted to alcohol." She said.
"Faith please don't do this!" I begged. She held no emotion in her eyes. "I have to. You need to stop drinking or you will only see the girls on special occasions." She said.
"Faith..." I said. She looked at me one last time, and then walked out the door.
I just lied in the hospital bed and cried. I really wish I could've died in the accident.
