Chapter 44
TIMS POV:
Whenever I woke up this morning Faith was gone. I saw a note on her pillow.
'Tim,
I had to go to the studio early this morning. Hopefully you're okay with watching the girls all day. I love you!
- Faith'
I smiled. I sat on the bed for a few minutes. I thought about something. Once I made my final decision, I got up and woke all the girls up.
"Dad it's 9 in the morning! Why'd you wake us up?!" Gracie asked. "Y'all need to get ready. I'll pick us up breakfast on the way to the mall." I said. "Mall?!" Maggie asked. "Yeah, but you'll find out what we're shopping for soon... Now go get ready!" I said.
After 30 minutes the girls were ready. I stopped by my house real fast and changed clothes.
Once we got to the mall the girls wanted to go into certain stores. I told them no every time. We're only going to one store.
Once we reached the jewelry store I walked in and made sure the girls followed me.
"What are we doing here?" Maggie asked. "I'm going to ask your mom to marry me, so I'm getting a ring." I said. All of the girls smiled.
A guy showed us all the engagement rings. After a long debate all of us agreed on one that we thought Faith would like.
Next, I took the girls to lunch.
"How should I propose to your mom?" I asked them. "I think you should spell it out with rose pedals!" Gracie said. "You should have lots of candles and pink stuff!" Maggie said. I smiled. "You should take her to ride horses!" Audrey said. I thought about it. Maybe I can combine them all.
"I can take your mom horseback riding. Whenever we go horseback riding I can take her by the gazebo near the lake at the house. The gazebo will have the question spelled out in rose pedals, I'll have candles set up, I'll have a picnic dinner too, and I'll wear a pink shirt. How's that sound?" I asked. They all agreed. I text Byron and asked him if him and Missi could watch the girls. He agreed.
After lunch I dropped the girls off at Byron and Missi's house. Then I went to the store and picked up a lot of roses and candles.
Faith text me and told me she'd be home in a hour. I have just enough time! I went back to Faith's house, or I should say my house now. I went back to the house and went into the kitchen. I made some sandwiches. Nothing special. I don't really have enough time to fix a huge dinner. I got the picnic basket and then went out to the gazebo. I spelled out 'will you marry me?' with the rose pedals first. Next I lit candles and put them everywhere. I put the picnic basket to the side. I ran back go the house and changed into the clothes I had picked up from my old house on the way here.
Whenever I was done changing, I put the ring in my pocket. I heard a car. I looked out the window and saw Faith was here.
