Chapter 24
FAITHS POV:
I dropped the girls off at school this morning and then went into the studio.
"Hey Byron." I said. "Hey Faith, how did Tim's surgery go yesterday?" He asked. Even though Tim completely shut Byron out of his life, like he did everyone else, Byron still cares about him.
"It went good. He seems to be feeling fine. He has another appointment Monday." I said. "That's good." He said.
My other producer, Dan, then walked in the room. "Hey Faith, we got a demo for a duet. It's a great song!" Dan said. "Okay, I want to hear it." I said. Dan put the demo in.
After I was done listening to the demo I was completely in love with the song. It's called Like We Never Loved at All.
"I love it!" I said. "We thought you would. Now all we have to do is get someone for the male part. Who do you want Faith?" Byron asked. "I don't know. Do y'all have any ideas?" I asked. Byron shook his head no. "I have someone in mind." Dan said. "Who?" I asked. "Tim." Dan said. "He isn't signed to a label though." I said. "He can still do the part. It will help him get his career back too. Now since he's stopped drinking maybe someone will want to sign him." Dan said. "I think it's a good idea." Byron said. "I don't know." I said. "Come on. Think about how much this would help Tim." Byron said. "Fine. I'll talk to him. I'm going to go check on him now." I said and grabbed my purse.
"You're spending a lot of time with Tim." Dan said. "I'm helping him out." I said. "Because you still care about him." Byron said. "I care about him because he's the father of my children. That's it. I'm with Josh now, and I'm happy." I said. "Whatever you say." Dan said. I rolled my eyes. "Bye. I'll call one of you guys later and tell you what Tim says." I said and then left.
