Gavin stood in front of the shop, trying to finish off the last of his cigarette before heading inside. He finally tossed it onto the pavement, stepping on it as he opened the door. He walked inside, pulling his hood down from his head, and making his way towards the line, desperately needing his morning coffee. He expected to be greeted by his favorite android, Chloe. She was a pretty girl, and had an even prettier smile. It was a nice way to start off his day before going to work.

Needless to say, when he was met with a 6'0 android with dark hair and steely eyes (a complete antithesis of the soft short Chloe), he was a little taken aback, and a little intimidated.

"Good morning sir," the droid took in Gavin's appearance, unintentionally looking him up and down. "What can I get for you today?"

He even had a deep voice.

"Uh-" Gavin was drawn a blank. He's never forgot his order before. "Um uh...Are-Are you new here?" He stuttered out, his cheeks feeling with blood. Was he really blushing right now?

The android chuckled, finding his behavior absolutely adorable.

"Yes. My name is Conan. I'm here to brew and serve your coffee. Now, what can I get for you today?" he replied with a smile that could melt anyone's heart. Specifically Gavin's.

"Uh, just-just coffee."

"One black coffee?" he asked, tilting his head.

"Yeah yeah. Black is good."

Gavin hated black coffee.

"One black coffee. Will that be all for you today, hun?" He asked, adding the last word intentionally.

Gavin only got redder and nodded, pdoceeding to pay for the order.

"Great. Can I have a name for the order?"

"Yeah um, its Gavin."

"Got it. Your order will be right out," he smiled sweetly, noticing the other's rise in temperature.

Gavin nodded, then immidiately rushed to the bathroom, trying to hide from the world. That was the most embarrassed he's felt in a while. He looked into the mirror to see that his face was extremely red.

"God..." He splashed some water on his face, trying to calm down. No android had ever had such an effect on him. Not even Chloe. He dried his face and stepped out, sitting at a little table meant really for only one person.

"Gavin?"

He stood and made his way to the counter, seeing Conan holding out his coffee. Gavin reached for the beverage, "accidentally" placing his hand on the android's.

"Oh shit sorry I-"

"Are you free anytime today, Gavin?"

Gavin was silent for a moment as he processed what was happening.

"Uh. I um, I get out pretty late today actually," he explained.

"Well I don't mind. How about we go out, grab a few drinks yeah?" He suggested, the skin from his hand receding. Gavin noticed this, and knew that it was a sign of attraction.

"Uh. Yeah-yeah that sounds good."

"Here..." Conan grabbed a marker, writing down something on the cup. "Here's my number. Call me when you get out." He handed the drink back to Gavin.

"Thanks. Its a date then. Um- Have a good day," he said. Conan just blew him a kiss in response, making Gavin's heart flutter.

Once outside of the shop, Gavin leaned against one of the walls, thinking about just how beautiful that android was. He knew that they were supposed to be perfect but, fuck.

In the middle of his thoughts he took a sip from the cup, only to spit it out.

"Fucking hate black coffee..."
