Sick Day

"Achoo!" 

Nines sneezed into yet another tissue. He groaned, tossing his head back onto his pillow. 

"Well, you have a fever. I didn't even know androids could get sick," Gavin remarked, placing his hand onto the droid's forehead. 

"Its a virus. Much like humans, androids can also catch them. The particular one that I have is-," he sneezed again, "its called GOS-15. It only affects androids. The symptoms are that of the flu," he sat up, tossing his tissue into the trash bin on the floor next to him. 

"Can't you just, turn off your censors or something?" Gavin questioned, moving a hair out of Nine's face. 

"If I fucking could, don't you think I would have already?" he snapped back. 

"Okay, okay. You don't have to get all irritated with me,"  Gavin stood up from the bed. "Well can I get you anything? Is there medicine or...something?" Gavin scratched the back of his neck. 

"No. There isn't any medication for androids, Gavin," he replied in a bitchy tone. 

"Christ, someone's got their cables in a knot..." 

"Ugh...Gavin I apologize. I've just never had to deal with a virus before," he ran his hands through his hair. 

"Hey. Nines its okay. Viruses suck," he sat back down, taking the other's hand in his own. "Jeez you're hot...Like, really hot ow-" he looked down to see that Nine's outer layer had receded, showing the sleek white metal underneath; which was now hot to the touch.

"Oh shit sorry..." the android's skin reappeared, "Force of habit..." he smiled. Gavin took his hands again, relieved that they were much cooler with actual skin on them. "Thanks for putting up with me, Gav."

"Of course, tin can," he kissed the droid's forehead.

Gavin leaned forward, allowing their lips to meet in a sweet moment of bliss. They both pulled away after a moment, resting their heads on each other's. 

"Hey Nines?"

"Yes Gavin?"

"Humans can't catch android viruses, right?"

"No. I don't think so at least." 

"Well. We'll see."

//Hey so I don't really like this particular chapter. But I'm still putting it out there because why not. I thought it was a cute twist on the whole "sick au" thing.
