Elsa's P.O.V

*flashback*

"Hey Elsa!", 6 year-old (Y/N) shouted, "Wanna play 'hide-and-seek'?"

Young Princess Elsa huffed. "Papa says a future Queen should be serious." She lifted her chin up.

"Oh no, you're acting all 'queenly' again." (Y/N) frowned. "Don't you ever get tired of this?"

"This?", Elsa asked confused.

"You know, being told what to do. Doesn't it get boring?"

"Well, it does.", the young girl admitted.

"Then stop listening!", (Y/N) exclaimed. "Come on, let's do something fun!", she beamed.

"I don't know, (Y/N). You know the rules, we can't-"

"Here you go again, listening to rules." (Y/N) sighed but soon, a big smile appeared on her face. "Rules, huh?"

"Oh no", the young Princess said, knowing so well that her best friend had something in mind.

"I have a new rule for you", the (H/C) haired girl said, causing her friend to raise an eyebrow at her, "Rule Number One: There are no rules."

"That doesn't make sense!", the Princess giggled.

"It does to me!", (Y/N) shrugged.

And like that, Elsa agreed to play with her. They played all afternoon and Elsa even created an ice rink for them in the Great Hall, when her parents were in a meeting and her little sister asleep on their room.

"This is so fun!", Elsa exclaimed, as she threw another snowball at her friend. They were having a snowball fight and (Y/N) had agreed for Elsa to use her magic, even though she knew she would lose if she did so.

"I told you!" She dodged another snowball and fell to the snow that covered the floor, breathless. The young Princess laid beside her.

"When I become Queen," she began, "I will make ice rinks for my people to skate, I will make snow for everyone so they can build snowmen and have a snowball fight in the middle of the spring, like us."

"That would be awesome!", (Y/N) smiled. "Speaking of the day you'll become Queen, tell me, what should I wear that day?"

"Don't you think it's too early for that?" Elsa giggled and (Y/N) shrugged. "Besides, won't you be wearing the castle guard's uniform?", she asked, knowing how that was her friend's dream.

"Not just a guard!", the youngest tried to sound offended, "The Queen's personal guard.", she said with pride, as if the title was hers already.

The Princess laughed but suddenly stopped when she heard her parents' voices.

"Elsa! (Y/N)!", King Agnarr and Queen Iduna searched for the two friends. The two, immediately stood up and Elsa thawed all snow and ice, just a second before the big, oak doors opened revealing Elsa's parents.

"What are you two doing here?", Queen Iduna smiled.

"Nothing!", the girls said in unison, making the King laugh.

"I'm sure that's it.", he said, "Well, we have no more meetings for today and we were wondering if you two would like to join us in the gardens for a cup of tea. And some cookies.", King Agnarr said teasingly, making his wife chuckle.

Elsa and (Y/N) looked at each other, a smirk dancing on their lips; cookies sounded like a really good idea, especially after hours of playing!

They followed Elsa's parents until they went to take Anna. As they were waiting outside, they couldn't help but laugh with how easy it was to go unnoticed.
