I headcanon Jevil as a nonbinary from birth. They've never had a gender ever since they were born.
After listening to THE WORLD REVOLVING from Deltarune the (not) musical, I feel like they're implying Jevil is a college student who is going insane from final exams, student loans, all the fun stuff college students have to pay. They've run out of hot cocoa, is on their last brain cell, done with all their teachers shit, wants to go home to their mom, feels like dropping out but they won't do that cause they're a good student, and just insanity. The only character we know in Deltarune that is in college is Asriel. Going by this, Jevil is not only the joker card in the deck, oh no, they are also the manifestation of Asriel's insanity from college.
