I hate this, being left alone to my thoughts.
Occasionally I can hear the nurses that stay and do the night shift come and go from my hospital room.
I can feel them taking the IV bag as it's removed and replaced seeing as the IV needle in my arm.

I could hear my privacy being interrupted every passing hour. The beeping of my heart monitor indicating I was still alive.
  I don't like being at hospitals, especially alone with my thoughts. But it does remind me that I'm here, that I'm real, that this isn't a dream.
