An Untimely Return

Perhaps this is ill advised. I am well aware a vast majority of readers have moved on, and maybe that's why I have come to this decision.

Sometimes the stars align in such a way that we suddenly feel an obligation to ourselves that we have never felt before. For me, for this story, those stars are the return of Mianite, COVID19, and googling myself.

The first two may seem pretty self explanatory, and as far as I'm concerned two star will always connect in a straight line. That third star is the object of coincidence that stand out of the ordinary. Two stars have never been anything in conjunction, but three stars, you have Orion's belt, and billions of people staring in amazement.

Now I'm sure you are wondering what googling myself has to do with my return, so I'll tell you very candidly. I went to Google images after having looked up my name and I found this dam art I drew. I was honestly embarrassed that it came up with my name and entered a frenzy trying to figure out how to take the entire thing down. In doing that, I logged in to Wattpad, The app we all seem to pretend we didn't have at age 15. I saw so many notifications on this story, and so much engagement. It was something that people came to enjoy to escape their lives in live in a world of fantasy as long as I could keep writing. What really stuck out to me was that there were new notifications on this story up to less than a week ago. Frankly, I was touched.

This all being said, I'm sure those of you looking for a new chapter have been deeply annoyed that this is not your long awaited continuation, but this is hope for one. Perhaps some of you wish I would never continue in fear that I further taint the ending you have dreamt of for the characters.

This is no absolute promise that you will get the ending you have all waited for and so deserve. I am no longer a teenager and my outlook on life and the relationships we hold with one another has changed immensely. This I am sure will affect the way I write and the actions of the characters. All I can hope is that you can enjoy some closure.

It has been nearly 5 years since my last update, so I will have to read this story myself to remember what is going on and how it should continue. It may take a little time, but it is coming.
