*dream*
Joy is sitting on the grass with carpet as her sitting base as she looks up at the sky, watching the stars in the sky.
"Don't you feel cold?" Sungjae asks after looking around the situation. As the girl turns, he realises he has ended up in the 'Carp's' dream once again.
"Sungjae-ssi?" Joy asks, surprised to see Sungjae.
Sungjae sits beside her, star gazing together. "Yap. What's your name again?"
"Joy." Joy smiles widely as she introduces her name.
"Ah, right. Sorry that I forget it."
"It's okay. I can understand that since I'm bad with names as well." Joy assures Sungjae. "How are you, Sungjae-ssi?"
"I'm good, as you can see," Sungjae says.
"Hmm, what I see is that you're lying about it."
Sungjae scoffs. "So why did you ask me when you can see it?"
"Out of respect? Or perhaps to see if you're acknowledging your situation?" Joy is unsure of why, she shrugs.
"Thanks for asking then. You remind me of my friend who always knows when I'm lying."
"It must have been nice to have someone who knows you well."
"It is. That's why we ended up becoming best friends." Sungjae is refering to Peniel.
"Ah, I envy that person. I want to be your best friend as well."
"Why? There's nothing special from being best friends with me."
"Because you seem so mysterious. It makes me curious of what's in your mind," Joy replies.
"I do tend to not tell people about myself since I don't trust people easily. It takes 3 years for me to trust my best friend. You think you can be my friend for that long?" Sungjae challenges Joy. It's only a dream after all. There's no point for him to think about this thoroughly.
"Sure. I can."
"Well, if that's what you want then sure. Let's be friends. Just don't regret it." Sungjae smiles and offers a handshake.
"Jinjja? Woah, it's an honor, Sungjae-ssi." Joy grabs Sungjae's hand enthusiastically.
Sungjae laughs seeing Joy's reaction. "What do you mean with honour? It's nothing. And you should change the way you call me. Let's drop the formality."
"Ahh, you're right. Should I call you oppa?"
"You're younger than me? What year are you born in?" Sungjae asks.
"Yes," she says while nodding her head fast. "I was born in 1996. Do I look old?"
"Yes. Really old. I thought you're in your 30s." Sungjae teases as he starts to feel comfortable talking to Joy.
Joy glares at Sungjae. "Ya! I don't look that old! I don't know that you're such a prankster even off camera."
"I'm a prankster on and off camera. I told you not to regret it, right?" Sungjae smirks.
"I don't know if this is what you mean," Joy is sullen. "I'm regretting it now."
Sungjae chuckles. "Huh? We just became friends a few minutes ago and you regret it already. Ckckck. You wanna cancel your decision (to be my friend)?"
"Ani. I would stay no matter what," Joy answers with determination.
"Okay. Hold it as much as you want then."
