9: Stop the Favour?

Today, Sungjae visit Peniel's home again to spend the rest of his days off. They plan to eat, play, drink and sleepover together. They are the most enjoyable activity for Sungjae as he doesn't hide anything from Peniel and he can be his true self. Sungjae presses the bell several times, playing pranks on Peniel. When Peniel opens the door, he greets Peniel happily straight away, "Hyung!! I've brought snacks and some bottles of soju," he says enthusiastically.

"Come in. Don't be loud outside." Peniel lets Sungjae in.

They have dinner, then play PUBG for 2 hours. After that, they change to LOL since they keep losing while eating the snacks and drink the soju casually. When they have finally tired playing games, they continue to eat and drink, while chatting.

"Do you still like that girl?" Peniel asks. He's talking about 'Carp'.

"We're just friends, hyung. What are you talking about?"

"Fine. Fine. Did you end up saying what you want to last time? You said you'll thank her when you met her in her dream." Peniel knows Sungjae has met 'Carp' from 'Carp's' message last time, saying Sungjae appeared in her dream.

"I did, but I don't know if she remembers it."

"Sungjae, don't you think you're bothering her too much? I start to feel bad for her for never replying it. You are not even sure if she remembers you thanked her," Peniel says. 

"So what do you want me to do?"

"How about telling her 'I am not Sungjae, so stop sending me messages?"

"Stop sending messages?" Sungjae doesn't like Peniel's idea.

"Hmm. I don't think it's right to keep letting her do this while you won't say anything to her. especially when you started this."

"But it doesn't make sense if you reply it now, hyung. Who holds up stranger's texts so long before telling her it's a wrong number? She'll think you are a pervert," Sungjae says.

"It doesn't matter to me. It's not that she knows me."

"Andwae. I don't want my hyung is thought as pervert. Just let her be, she will stop if it's tiring anyway."

"It's okay, I don't care. It's also for her sake. What if she's having a hard time because of it? You should think about her as well."

Sungjae remains silent, not knowing how to reply. He knows that Peniel is right, but deep inside his heart, he still wants to receive those texts. "Arasseo, you can tell her," he says finally in soft tone.

"Forget it. I can't stand doing it when you're looking like that. Why would I stop you from getting them, when they're making you happy." Peniel can see Sungjae isn't willing to let him do it and it makes him feels bad.

Sungjae scoffs, "Just do it. It's okay. You said it's for her sake."

Peniel sighs upon hearing what Sungjae said. "It's obvious that you're not okay with that. Let's just wait until she's tired of it," he says. "Also, the fact that she does it even when it's not making sense to her, it means she must have wanted to do it badly for you. So, why don't I let her make my brother's life better?"

Sungjae smiles widely, relieved to hear Peniel's word, "Are you sure it's not because you don't want to be a pervert?" he jokes. It's typical Sungjae to turn a situation from serious to tease in a second.

Peniel smiles back, seeing his best friend teases him again. "Geez. You're so annoying," Peniel says.

"Gomawoyo hyung for understanding me."
