18: About Dream

"That's your secret isn't it?" Joy confronts Sungjae.

Sungjae blinks in surprise before looks away from Joy. He doesn't expect to be confronted like that. Sungjae takes a deep breath to calm down. Joy guess isn't entirely right, but her question makes him feel caught. He should find a way to escape this situation.

"Does it even make sense to be able to do that?" Sungjae replies while looking at the ocean.

"It doesn't, but then, it also doesn't make sense that you receive my messages nor write the same advice on my CD as in my dream. How else can that happen if it's not because you know about my dreams? It's too much to be called coincidence."

Sungjae scoffs. It's impossible to make up a logical answer for that question. "You're smart."

"Does it mean I'm right?" Joy wants to ensure it.

"If not?" Sungjae looks at her.

"Then you should tell me how can that happen," Joy replies.

"Can't we just talk about something else?" Sungjae tries to change the topic. He doesn't want Joy to know about his weird dream experience just yet.

"Like what?" Joy understands that Sungjae doesn't want to talk about her dreams anymore. Her guess is probably right.

"Like how did you know VISION?"

"Umm.. My friend gave me a suggestion of songs to listen to when I started to get into Kpop. And 2nd Confession is one of the songs that I like. Then I watch the MV and I like Minhyuk from there and stay updated about VISION since then."

"I thought I'm your bias." Sungjae comments in an envious tone.

"Do I have to acknowledge that again in front of you?" Joy asks with furrowed brows.

"Need some confirmation." Sungjae shrugs.

Joy rolls her eyes. "Minhyuk is second now," Joy says, making Sungjae chuckles. "I like him because his face is my type so I can recognize him easily in that MV. He also looks cool when he raps with his veins stick out."

Sungjae chuckles seeing Joy fangirling. "So, I'm not your type huh?" Sungjae asks.

Joy shakes her head. "Nah.." It may be unbelievable, but it's the truth. Sungjae isn't the type of face that she likes, but she still finds him good looking.

"I'm disappointed. So I don't even get recognised by you back then?"

"I can't tell who is who just from few times watching it the MV and it took a month to know Eunkwang and Ilhoon cause they look similar at that time," Joy explains.

"Fair enough. So, how did it change?" Sungjae asks.

"What changed?"

"Your bias. From Lee Minhyuk to Yook Sungjae," Sungjae replies with a smirk.

"Are you seriously asking how I like you?" Joy asks in disbelief.

Sungjae laughs. "How I become your bias, ma'am," Sungjae corrects. "Can't I know?"

"It's weird to tell you about it."

"But I'm curious how did I end up being your bias," Sungjae says.

Joy sighs. "It starts from your deep singing voice," Joy starts while looking at the sea. Too embarrassed to see Sungjae. "I find it soothing and sounds sincere... I listen to your covers a lot whenever I feel down since they always work to comfort me. Then as time goes by, I get to know how hardworking and sincere you are as an idol too. That makes me amazed at what a kind soul you are and since then, I find myself smiling whenever I see you."
