Valerie's POV

"Take a deep breath,"
"Take it slowly,"
"Seek your target's eyes."
"Slowly, but surely."
On my last count, on three.
"One."
"Two."
"Three."
I let my bow fly, aiming its bull's eye."Santos, 9"
"Reyes, 9"
"Zamora, 9"
"Cortez, 8"
I heared the announcement on which I've scored 8.
"Tsk, I am the lowest."
"Maginoo, 10"
"Felipe, 10"
"Santos, 10"
"Dela Rosa, 10"
"Jung, 10"
Napalingon ako sa hilera ng men's try out. They are all competitive lalo na yung Jung. He is a consistent ace player ng St. Paul.
"What a fantastic scores!" the announcer said, I feel the bitterness on my mouth. How can it be a fantastic scores kung 8 ako? Sige, explain mo Mr. Announcer.
"Here comes the another shot." he said as we positioned ourselves.
To be honest, playing this sport is actually a mental wrecking game.
I mean, you really have to score good at first at dapat consistent yon para di kabahan na mag missed ang last shot mo.
I know, I know okay? Think positive. But sometimes thinking positively won't work as well.
Kasi naman, yes there's always a possibility that they may missed and scored less than one, but that chances are its stake, napaka hirap ng ganon, yung pinapanalangin mong mag miss yung kalaban mo? That's really depressing lalo pag dun pa sila nakaka hit ng target.
