Recap

Anna woke up to first responders and she's now in the hospital. The doctors think she's lost some of her memory and are going to run some tests. Benny is taking it really hard, but he's not sure why.

Thursday. March 12th. 2020

Benny's POV

I wake up to my alarm.

6:30am.

I sigh. I don't want to go to school today, but I have two tests and I don't want to make them up. I look in the mirror and my eyes are bloodshot. I don't even remember what time I fell asleep last night but it was late.

I shower and don't even bother to comb through my hair. I put on a white shirt and cuff the sleeves, I put on jeans and cuff those too. I don't even bother grabbing a jacket. I just grab my bag and go downstairs.

"Benny, you forgot your shoes." Emily says, she faintly smiles.

I sigh and trudge back up the stairs and grab my pf's. The shoes that make you run faster and jump higher. Yeah yeah is convinced they do that but personally I think that's just for marketing.

I go back downstairs and my sister comes over and feels my forehead,

"Benny are you okay? You look pale."

I look at myself in the mirror, she's right.

"Emily I'm okay I promise."

"If you don't feel well call me." She kisses my forehead and gives me a quick hug.

"I love you Benji."

"I love you Emily."

My mom interjects,

"Benny esta bien. a nadie le importa de todos modos. Vete a la escuela."

"Mama!" Emily says "puedes ver que Benny no se ve bien, asi que dèjalo."

"Lo que sea. Benny vete."

My mom interjects.

"Benny is fine. Nobody cares anyways. Go to school."

"Mom!" Emily says "you know Benny doesn't look well, so stop it."

"Whatever. Benny leave."

I slowly walk into school with my head down. Everybody is showing eachother pictures on their phones and laughing. I already wanna go home.

I get to my locker and Hannah is there waiting.

"Hey babe!" She says and tries to kiss my cheek, I move forward.

"Hi." I speak above a whisper.

"What's wrong? You look sick?"

"I'm fine." I shut my locker and begin to walk away. I hear Bertram,

"Hey benny you good?" He slings an arm over my shoulder and I try to say yes but I start crying.

"Woah woah hey it's okay, follow me." He opens a door in the science department and asks our teacher if she can step out for a few minutes. She agrees and says she'll be right outside.
