Chapter Thirty One

Dalton's POV

We had pretty much solidified our plan. It was now official. Mark, Kyler, Roman and I were to sneak into the pack grounds, staying as low and undetected as much as possible. Roman and Kyler would go to free his Father and Kelsey, both who were 'in a restricted place with Izaiah lurking around like a creepy ass mofo'- Vin had translated for me when Blue attempted to read him and obtain his coordinates.

Kyler then guessed that it was the centre of operation pack house, the Alpha's study, located conviniently on the second highest floor of the entire house, without any windows in which we could dramatically make our entrance.

We had run into a few complications here. The Council Members, although powerful, were limited in their numbers. With some of them situated back at their headquarters, we could only assume that the Council might have recruited some wolves to guard the pack area, I mean if they were really that stupid to bare all to us. I had a sinking feeling that I knew who exactly are now at disposal of the Council.

But we weren't all that screwed thanks to Roman, holding a very powerful position in the vampire world, had also managed to call for some back-up from his weird vampire friends, who had started piling into Vin and Rome's little cottage in the forest proving some difficulty with spacial constraint.

While Rome and the bae tried to break the two main hostages out, Mark and I would go and free the many remaining wolves that hadn't been fast enough to be evacuated and attempt to pep-talk them into fighting the Council members and friends here with us.

Supposing they were convinced, Kyler and his Dad could hurry away and complete the Alpha ritual in which the torch of leadership will be passed on to Kyler, and his wolf would be properly recognized as an Alpha by his pack members.

We would put up a pretty strong fight, wolves both Alphas and a few former Council members as well as vampires to top off the badass mix of 'freedom fighters' as Kyler had jokingly dubbed us a few days ago and it kind of stuck ever since.

And Rhein, would be safely out of harm's way, as Vin had called in his half-sister-vampire-friend-person also legally listed as his godmother, who would care for Rhein while we were all out there being, well, badasses.

Blue and Kayla would be heading out to the headquarters of the Grand Wolf Council, which was apparently a long way out, hence the girls were leaving tomorrow in a 'borrowed' jeep.

By 'borrowed' I really mean doing the creepy mind control thing on some dude we met who was driving up the hill that Roman and Vin lived on, a few days back.

They were going to break into the headquarters where Blue was convinced that ever since she got kicked off the Council, betrayal and rage had fueled her powers, stretching their range and ability to an astonishing high, would be able to tap into everyone's minds in the Council to give them a kind suggestion of going to sleep for a few hours or so.

Enough time for them to steal what they needed and drive back to us where we would sit and discuss our new findings and finally answer the all important question: Why was my family hunted down and what threat do I pose to the structured Council?

After that we would rest a while trying to figure me out before we returned to the battle and defeated the Council once and for all.

Sounds easy? Not exactly. There's a long list of factors that may screw up this kind of well thought out plan but we were just going to pray to the Moon Goddess for luck to be on our side on the day itself.
