Tuesday.
Finn was so hungry he couldn't even get himself out of bed. He had starved himself all day only eating a tuna sandwich and a banana and that was yesterday. Jack gave him the banana. It was strange because Finn woke up at six, probably because he was hungry. He had two bowls of cereal and grilled up bacon and eggs. Good thing he had a fast metabolism. It was seven when he finished eating so instead of going back to bed, he took a shower wearing his small uniform once again. Another dreadful day of school with no friends. Maybe no friends. The principal was still at the front door of his school, waiting for him to arrive I guess, and from a distance, Finn saw Millie since he was waiting outside the school gates. He looked at her and she gave him a confused look. It wasn't long before Millie got to the gate too. Then, she threw a bag on the floor.
"You left this at dance." She kicked to him. He picked up the bag and said,
"Millie I'm sorry I didn't mean to go off at you like that. I was just really angry and—"
"Okay, shut up! You don't need to pour your soul and heart out for me." She cut off.
"I'm sorry I shouted at you." He waved his arms sarcastically. "Forgive and forget?" He held out his hand.
"Forget." She sighed looking up. It stayed quiet for a bit.
"So...What are you doing after school today?" He said, pointing his fingers at each other.
"Dance..." She squinted at him. "You already know I go to dance every day after school. You're still working there. Maybe. Possibly." She sighed.
"D-did you ask?" He stuttered.
"Because I had to— I got your bag before I went school. They still want to talk to you about what happened yesterday though."
"Because you had to or wanted to?"
"What?" She asked confused.
"To get my bag. Who told you, you had to get my bag? Did you do it because you cared about me—"
"Like I would care about you Wolfhard!" She shoved him. He laughed before saying.
"You still listening to that screaming?"
"I don't listen to it twenty-four seven Finn. I listen to other songs too, like any normal human being!" She rolled her eyes. "Do you still listen to boring guitar music—"
"Okay, first of all, it's not boring—"
"Prove it to me. Not with my headphones of course."
"No internet here." He shrugged his shoulders.
"Fine, tonight at eight pm after school, prove it to me. Prove to me indie music is not boring." He looked at her blankly, but then they burst into laughter.
"You're joking right?" He said.
"Like I would go on a date with you Wolfhard." She chuckled more.
The gates opened after some time and Finn and Millie continued their day as usual. At lunchtime and break time, is when Millie and Finn would go away from each other since it was the only time they would be apart unless one of them went to the toilets. Finn was sitting in the lunch hall, about to take a bite out of his delicious mayo and tuna sandwich when,
"Hey, Finn!" An energetic and happy Jack slammed his lunch next to him. "What you got there today?" Jack peered
"A tuna sandwich." He replied.
"Didn't you have that yesterday? Can you only have tuna sandwiches?! Did your parents pack that every day at old school??"
"When I lived with both my parents, my mom would pack me anything. I only recently started having tuna sandwiches again. Are you gonna give me a banana again today??"
"I don't have a banana today but I do have strawberries, want some??" He said spilling out them into a container.
"Sure. Strawberries are great." He smiled, picking a strawberry.
"Do you have a girlfriend Finn? Did you ever have a girlfriend? Do you have a crush??" He spoke fast.
"Uh no, no and maybe."
"What?? Who is it? Is it...Ally? Is it...Alexis, Amanda, Aileen?"
"Why are all these girls names beginning with a??"
"Because loads of girls in our school names begin with A. It could be one of them!"
"Isn't pretty obvious? I only know one girl in the entire school that isn't a teacher or anything. Keep guessing." He shook his head.
"Alissa, Angelina, Angelica, Angeline, Angi, Abigail—"
"Are these actual girls at your school? That's a lot of girls names beginning with A's...how do you remember all those names?"
"Yeah! I could go on for days, Alicia, Alice, Anna, Amber- Oh! I know it is, I won't say it though in case I embarrass you."
"Well, I'm not sure. I might like her, I might not." He teased.
"Just tell the truth. It's seriously not that hard."
"How do you speak so fast Jack? I can barely understand what you're saying!"
"I actually got it from my auntie, that's what my mom thinks since I spen— Stop trying time change the subject!"
"It's not my fault you get distracted easily." He mumbled.
"That's what got me thinking, I might suffer from Adhd which might come from my dad's side but only my great grandad got it and it never carried down again so I should get tested. Do you know how many people get tested from STDs in a year, most of it comes from men as well, I've always wondered where STDs came from like who got it first, now that's really confusing—"
"Okay, Jack! You suffer from STD- ADHD!"
And for the whole lunchtime, Finn listened to Jacks thoughts and theory's, he might as well write a novel on it. He couldn't care less though, instead, he just contributed more on Jacks ideas.
