A few minutes later,

"What the hell happened?" Finn said bringing her inside.
"My fucking asshole of a dad!" She frowned crying.
"W-what did he do?!" She looked up at him and that was when he saw the bruise properly. "What the fuck?" He said getting angrier.
"He called me a bitch and a whore." She buried her head into her arms, curled up in a ball on the couch.
"That's not true, don't listen to him."
"Finn, he doesn't want me seeing you!" He returned from getting a pack of frozen peas passing it to her.
"Fuck that guy." He whispered. "We leave. Three days. Can't have any more of this bullshit." He got up to put on his shoes.
"Wait- where are you going?" She said. "Finn stay, please." Wasn't until he saw her eyes, he came and sat down again.
"I'll get the ID's done tomorrow and I'll come with you so you can pack your stuff. Monday after school, we leave."

The next day...

Millie had woken up from her very uncomfortable sleep on the couch. Luckily it was extendable so it had an extra bit for Millie to sleep on. She insisted that Finn should keep his bed and she slept on the couch except now she would be suffering minor back problems. She slipped into Finn's room and saw he was still sleeping, so she had a quick bath. Her cheek was a bit purple, but you could only really notice it if you came up close to her, on top of that it was swollen.

She got changed into the clothes Finn had given her the night before and went to open the door when she heard Finns voice behind her.
"Going already?" He said putting a comb through his hair.
"Take a shower at least,"
"Yeah, I will, after we come back from yours."
They took a bus to Millie's house and the light was still on from the night before. The door was a creak open and immediately, the smell of alcohol stung their nostrils. It was a scene Finn was familiar to before. Millie gripped his hand at the sight of her unconscious father and slipped passed him. She then ran up to her room and only took the stuff she needed. Toothbrush, towel, loofah, a pen, underwear, a few pair of clothes and two good pairs of jeans. She didn't take her uniform as she thought she'd only be going to school for one more day and took her earrings and a ring.
"What's with the pen?"
"You never know what a pen could be handy for Finn: writing." He rolled his eyes and they left the room.
"Wait!" She got a pen and paper and scribbled something down in two minutes. Then leaving her ring on the table and kissing her mom's hand and she was sleeping in her bed. Finn put his arm over Millie's shoulder as they left the house, she was upset but also quite angry.

Later that day, he got their fake ID's and looked like they were heading somewhere with a plan...

                Millie's letter to her mom.
Hi mom, staying somewhere safe and won't be coming back. It's not that I don't love you, it's dad that's grown abusive to us both. I really do hope you get the help you and dad need. I wish we could've had more of a relationship but work was always holding you up and I felt I never grew close to you to have a normal conversation. I do love you mom, I really do. You just can't take care of me.
Love Millie,
X
Ps. Keep the ring, hide it from dad.
