Eleventh floor. Door sixty five. Finns apartment.
"What's the point??" She huffed, frustrated. When she was turning around, she saw a grown man with brown hair. He was wearing a bomber jacket, underneath a checkered red and white cardigan with a white top underneath that. She stumbled back after seeing him.
"Sorry if I scared you." Millie was surprised by his British accent. "Are you...one of Finns friends??"
"No I'm just...you know...visiting! But seeing as you're here I wouldn't want to disturb you!" She smiled awkwardly.
"Oh no, no! Please stay, I would like to know one of Finns mates." He walked to the door and knocked. He knocked three times with no answer. "Do you know if Finn went out??" He looked inside the window.
"I don't have his number so I wouldn't really know." She wanted to leave but didn't wanna be rude.
"That's okay. I have a key I'll just let myself in." He replied, twisting around with the key.
"Is that legal?? H-how are you allowed to let yourself in??"
"It's legal, but it's a bit complicated. Maybe Finn will explain it to you." The door opened and Charlie stepped inside. It didn't look like Finn was home. "Hey Finn? It's Charlie and a friend, are you home??" He shouted from the stairs. A friend??
"Wait no, I'm just visiting—" but she stopped once she saw Finn in the same pink hoodie and this time joggings. He looked confused and stared at Millie. She was confused just like him. Worried even.
"I thought you would be coming again in three days. Why are you back so early??" He croaked. You could tell from his voice he was tired.
"Let's go talk about this privately, in your room. Just about school." Then Charlie and Finn went up to Finns room. Talking about whatever they needed to talk about. Millie was definitely having second thoughts about coming here, she wanted to leave but at the same time she still wanted to talk to Finn even though she hated him but she didn't want to make a bad impression of herself to Charlie. Her legs were starting to give up on her after going up those stairs, so she took a seat on the couch.

Ten minutes of sitting on her phone, she got up and decided she wasn't staying any longer when Finn and Charlie came. "Millie right?? I'm sorry I didn't notice you by the uniform and everything. I haven't gotten a proper chance to meet you!" He approached her, smiling with his out offering to shake. Of course she shook it back.
"Yeah! I-I was just visiting so I'm gonna leave now." She laughed awkwardly.
"Oh don't be silly! I'll cook something for you both, I'll get to know you more then. I've already heard lots about you." Finn was just standing there, playing with his fingers. "How about that Finn? Millie staying over for lunch??"
"Her parents are probably wandering where she is so maybe—"
"Give them a ring! I'll be in the kitchen if you need anything, you can go up to Finns room." Since Charlie was already getting out pots and pans, they just let him cook for them.

Millie was sat on one side of the bed not facing Finn and Finn on the opposite side of the bed, not facing Millie. They were bitting their tongue, lips, fingers. And it was really awkward since none of them were saying anything. For two minutes.
"Are you gonna say anything? It's...your room." She looked to the side, picking her finger nail.
"Right! Right...I should." He said though it went silent again. "Do you wanna..speak about what happened last night?"
"What do you wanna say about it?"
"A few things." He bit his tongue.
"Do you wanna list them?"
"Okay. Uuh...you know...running away. If you know a lot about me, would you travel with me? When I turn eighteen. In December."
"Maybe. It's scary thinking about it." Their hearts were both pounding. They were scared and worried and happy and confused at the same time. "But at the same time, I barely know you." He looked down and frowned.
"Can I ask one more thing??" He looked at her.
"Sure." Sighing, she turned around and faced Finn.
"You can either take this in one way or another but...I wanna watch...a specific scary movie...at a specific location, which is my house." He squeezed his hands. Don't get rejected don't get rejected.
"I can't." She shrugged. "I have detention all week and then I have two hour lectures on the weekend. Maybe we can do something next time." She smiled.
"Y-yeah! It's not like I-it was gonna be a date or- or anything!"
"Finn. I don't like you in that way. Not right now. I just see you as an annoying kid with a complicated past. A really complicated past." She said. "I don't know why I kissed you it was just—"
"Millie it's fine. You don't like me and that's fine. You don't need explain yourself."
"I'm sorry for messing with your emotions and calling you an embarrassment. I hope you feel better." She smiled.
"You didn't call me an embarrassment...it was just trauma." He looked down. "You can promise one thing though." He sat up cross legged.
"What is it??" He held out his pinky and so Millie wrapped her pink around his, which made them smile for a split second. "This is so dumb." She laughed.
"Okay. No matter how far we are from each other we'll keep in contact and meet at least once a year, if you're not willing to travel with me." Millie looked down and frowned.
"That's a pretty big commitment." She chuckled nervously. "But okay. Promise." She squeezed her finger tighter around Finns one more time before letting go.
"Nice." He bit his lip, trying to stop his smile from getting any bigger. "So you gonna tell me why you have detention all week and a lecture on the weekends??" He nudged her arm.
"Are you sure you wanna know??" She furrowed her brows. And Finn responded with a nod. "Grace was chatting shit about you so I stood on her foot, which isn't even that bad! Then we got in an argument and we all got an two hours detention for being late to class, from five minutes! And before that I pushed another girl who was spreading rumours."
"First of all, your school has trash punishments!"
"It really does. I mean detention for being a few minutes late whatever, but by five minutes?! And a two hours detention?"
"My schools were never like that. There was a really bad school I went to though in Washington, the behaviour was horrible. You could get tormented everyday for absolutely no reason."
"Ugh our school is a trash private school. But it's still up there just cause it's a private school and not a public school and it's punishments are dumb like any private school." She sighed. "I cannot wait until I graduate."
"I want school to be over with so badly."
"And then there's college and getting a job! I can't wait for college life."
"They don't tell you anything about college and then getting a job do they?" He shook his head. "How old are you really then?"
"I'm turning seventeen in February."
"Oh what?"
"Yup! It means you can't date me until I'm seventeen!"
"Bummer. It would be weird travelling with an sixteen year old."
"Don't want this to turn into a case!" She said.
"Okay but how long will it take me to convince you to come with me?"
"Go with you where?" She played dumb.
"Go me with me the world." She giggled.
"Okaaay...I give you December. Four weeks before your birthday." She stood up on his bed.
"Wait really?? No joke?? I was joking you know!" He looked up at her. "We don't even know where we'll get the money!" He whispered.
"I'll get a job. Or rob a bank." She looked up.
"But your schedule is filled with dance—"
"I'll quit dance then!" Millie loved dance so her quitting it must mean she really wants to go on that trip.
"But you love dance. You seriously don't need to quit it for me."
"I'm not quitting it for you, I'm quitting it so I can travel the world." She rolled her eyes. "I could try selling things I guess."
"We can make things and sell them, if you know how make anything."
"Yeah, I have some ideas. Selling sweets illegally at school, a big yes." She laughed.
"No like—"
"When Charlie leaves we'll talk all about it." She rolled her eyes, cutting him off.
