When your Congolese accent kicks in because you use french words in Lingala WHERE MY AFRICAN PEOPLE AT? Guys btw, I don't stalk Calpurnia or Finn like that so don't come at me if I don't know how calpurnia works okay?! Or if I don't know Finns wolfhard favourite song. Don't come at me for listening to Ludic tho. Their songs are seriously good lowkey.
Tuesday2
Millie was in her room. She was finishing off some homework after she ate something. It was eleven pm at night and none of her parents were home yet, her dad was probably out drinking and her mom still working late night all the way till one am. Yes. Millies home life could've possible got a little worse. She was going to get a book from her bag when she heard a thud coming from her window.
"Shit!" She heard someone say. It was Finn, he banged his head on the window after noticing it wasn't open.
"Finn?? What are you doing here??" She rushed to the window, opening it.
"It's a bit late but, seven pm? Prove to you indie music isn't as bad??"
"You know I was joking! And it's well over seven, it's nearly twelve. I need to do my french homework, it's due tomorrow morning and I can't get it done later on, it's too much."
"Then, I can help you study! I'm fluent in french!"
"Wait, how did you get to my window?" She ignored him, looking down from where he was.
"j'ai trouvé une échelle dans ma chambre de studio, maintenant laisse-moi me lever avant de tomber." He grasped the inside of Millie's window, afraid he'll fall.
"impressionnant," she smiled. "Did your old school teach french?" She put her elbow down on the window seal, ready to have a conversation.
"Millie, I don't have time for this! Let me up!" She rolled her eyes before opening the window wide enough for Finn to come through.
"I'm not going down that ladder." She looked down.
"I know, just open— wait you'll come??" He expected to persuade Millie for hours, he didn't expect she would agree so quickly.
"I— well, it's not like I'll— yes I'll come with you." She gave up. "Let me get dressed first."
"This is totally gonna be like a date!" He bit his lip.
"What??" She furrowed her brows.
"You're dr-dressing up!" He stuttered.
"I won't dress up fancy or anything!" She laughed.
"Please don't dress up all punky and e-girl accessories it's weird, and all black and gothic—"
"Oh yeah, drenched in black top to bottom, chains all around my neck and arms." She said sarcastically. "I don't even have clothes like that." She grabbed something out her closet, secretly.
"Really I thought you would dress like that? Since you listen to—"
"Yeah and I thought you dressed like a hipster outside of school!" She cut off. "I don't have that many clothes like that." She mumbled, walking out her room to go to the bathroom. Finn would never see himself in this situation, standing in Millie's bedroom, practically asking her on a date. He had an urge to look around but if he ever wanted Millie to be his girlfriend or even a friend, he would have to do it right and be loyal to her, which meant no looking in her diary if she even had one.Do you know how Finn was saying he thought an egirls style was weird and how Millie said that she didn't own clothes and accessories like that, well they were both wrong. Millie came out amazing. She was wearing a simple cherry lipgloss and had on a black leather chocker, a striped black and white jumper with a black oversized nirvana t-shirt tucked into her black short jean skirt with two chains starting from the middle part of her skirt to the left end of her dress, topping off her look with her black clear tights from school and her lace up chunky lace up boots. Luckily, it was dark so Millie couldn't see if Finn was blushing which he was, he was practically pink. Finns nose was probably bleeding right now by the time Millie said,
"Okay I do have a lot of edgy clothes, but it's not inspired by the music I listen to! It's just...me." Finn looked lame in his jeans and pink hoodie.
"You look badass— like, butt kicking good, you know?? You don't look cute or anything- I mean you do look cute, but it's not like I— I don't like you, no I do like you, I just disagree with my statement from before—"
"You like what I'm wearing, yes? And I don't look weird." She furrowed her brows.
"That's like, perfect for skateboarding you just need to change your shoes, b-but your shoes are really good though!" He silently looked down in embarrassment.
"Do I really look cute though?" She looked her self in the mirror. Finn didn't know how to respond, of course he found her cute, gorgeous, amazing! But they were barely friends and he didn't want to ruin what they had, just by saying the wrong thing.
"You look...goood." He extended, though he said it weirdly making the 'o's sound deeper.
"I was going for the look, you know? Hot, not Kawaii cute." Finn couldn't think like that, he always saw Millie cute, like a baby doll, but he did find Millie attractive in both ways.
"H-hot?!"
"Finn don't panic, I'm just messing with you!" She punched his arm. "I know the way you look at me." She mumbled under her breath. "I'm ready, let's go." They went to the downstairs door and started to walk out there.
