Wednesday

"Run away? Finn, what about my friends, my parents, my dance? I can't leave all that behind." She turned away. "I only just met you like, two days ago! I'm not ready to runaway with you! You're crazy!"
"We can restart! I'm turning eighteen in December and I'll be free of the care system!"
"Finn you just came back from a...traumatic episode?! How are you even thinking about— running away?!" Finn knew how to bottle it up. Every traumatic episode, he wouldn't let his feelings or emotion show. It's always a fake smile.
"Who cares about my episodes?!" He shrugged.
"I do Finn!" She shouted. "I do. I care about your health and if it's going to affect our relationship..."
"Then I'll go get help, a therapist!"
"Either way, I'm not running away with a dude I met two days ago! We don't even have anything planned! Where are we going to, where is the money going to come from, when do we run away?? I have too many things left back here!"
"Okay then. It's fine I...I understand. But, I still wanna leave. I still wanna go. When I turn eighteen, I'm leaving." Millie's eyes went wide.
"What?..."
"Yeah! I've got nothing for me here anyway. I just want to travel. Then I'll...I'll stay in Vancouver." He crossed his arms. "You've only known me for two days, what's going to be the effect?"
"Yeah, true. You always runaway Finn! Go and run away to Chicago, how about that? Tell me how the weather is there." She scoffed and left the room.
"W-well what's the point if you don't wanna talk to me, huh?" Finn followed.
"This is my point of not dating! We're arguing right now! You wanna travel, I wanna stay here in California!"
"Why are you trying to change the subject Millie??" He followed her down the steps.
"I'm giving you a point! Why are you always so pushy?! You're always asking questions and jumping to other conversations! First you say, I wanna date you but then you're bringing up the fact of running away!"
"All you have to say is yes or no, that's all you have to do!" He grabbed her arm.
"No! I said no! How many times do I have to say no!?" She screamed back at him. "I don't want to date you or runaway with you, now I swear to god Finn get the fuck off me or I'll punch you in the face!"
"Why can't I prove my point why I'm not that bad to date?" He still held on to her arm. "Give me until December for me to convince you to come with me!"
"Well you're being good at convincing me right now!" She looked down at her arm.
"But I know you're just going to leave!"
"Of course I am, it's one in the morning!" She said. "Are you going to let go now??" But he tilted his head to the side, giving her a look. And of course, Millie kicked him in the shin. Chunky boots and a shin weren't a good combination, so unsurprisingly Finn fell down in pain. When she tried to leave, the door was locked. "Unlock the door."
"I can't even get up!" He grunted. "Help me?" He let out a hand. Instead, Millie grabbed him by the ear making him stand. "Again, Friday night?" He whimpered. Millie rolled her eyes.
"When do you ever shut up??" Finally opening the door, Millie slipped through and left.
He so annoying. Why do I even like him?? No, I don't like him. She thought going down the steps. Seriously though, there were moments she just wanted to rip Finns head off or kiss him so he would shut up.

Wednesday2
Finn was hurt from last night. He wanted things to work out as simple as one word, but Millie wasn't simple she was difficult to work with. Most of the time anyways. Now he was hoping he would still be able to convince Millie to come with him, it would be difficult but he was up for the challenge. Anything for Millie of course. Him still hurt and depressed (probably from the trauma too) he called in sick to school. Finn was in a state. This happened a lot in care and his foster homes. He wouldn't get up, or eat, or shower. He would only go to the bathroom to pee, the other only thing he would do, is lay in bed, cry, sit and think. His thoughts were embarrassment, embarrassment and embarrassment with a hint of Millie.

Millie was at the gates like usual. She was there for an hour and Finn still didn't show up by the time other kids were coming. Why was she thinking about Finn anyways?? She thinks she hates him, but then she misses his pettiness and him being his annoying self. She really hoped she didn't cause Finn to do anything. Extreme. Please don't do anything extreme. Her thoughts were cut off by Sadie scaring her from behind.
"Hi Millie!" Sadie smiled, being her cheerful self.
"Hi Sadie." Millie replied.
"You know, I don't understand why they give us so much homework. French homework was like, three pages long! I had was up until twelve finishing that." Here comes double three hours detention.
"Oh great!" She sighed. "I forgot to do my french homework!" She threw her hands in the air.
"Millie! You know how mr bernard strict he is?? French is right after break, break is only thirty minutes." She said. "What's more important then french homework? That's double three hours detention." Millie scoffed, not saying anything afterwards. "So, are you gonna tell me what you were doing instead of french homework? Best friends tell each other everything."
"Fine. Finn came and I didn't come back until like two am and I forgot to do my homework."
"So you got dressed to go out, but you didn't or your french homework??" She laughed.
"Pretty much." She mumbled. "Did you see Finn the way here?" She blurted out. She really wanted to know.
"No actually, why? I thought he walks with you."
"No he doesn't. I would just, expect him here."
"Did he say anything about yesterday not coming here tomorrow? Or say anything a bit..." She glared at her. Matter of fact, yeah. Except maybe it was something Millie said.
"I think it was something I said. We...got into an argument and I said something. That triggered his past. Then he had a mini breakdown and he might still be in a...something." The bell rang and they walked towards the school.
"What's a something?" Her eyebrows furrowed.
"Okay, imagine this, a coma but your still awake and you're aware of everything around you and it's like your reliving the past—"
"A ptsd episode??" She cut off. "It wasn't that hard to say."
"He should be telling you this, not me! But he's not here."
"Maybe he's at home and he's sick resting. Or maybe he's slept in late."
"He did miss tutor on the first day." She frowned.
"Why are you so uptight about Finn??" She nudged Millie.
"I'm not! It's just strange he showed up like two days in a row then decided not to come back."
"Oh yeah? What were you doing with him then when you went with him? Where would you go at night? With Finn?"
"We're just friends okay! We went to his house."
"Millie. You're kidding." She said stone faced.
"Why would I be?" She awkwardly smiled.
"Every girl is crushing on Finn, he still looks like a frog to me so I wouldn't understand. Every girl is drooling over him, how have you not noticed at lunch and break time??" It was true. Millie hadn't noticed it cause she was paying attention to anybody else, except for Finn and Sadie really.
"What have they been saying??"
"We'll just have to wait until lunch and break time. I still can't believe they're crushing on him even in his small uniform.
"They're probably all ninth graders. Ninth graders crush on every boy."
"We were weird ninth graders." She stared into the distance.
"Really weird." Sadie stared with her. The bell went off. "See you at break."
