"Wake up Dean," Dean woke to Castiel's gravelly voice, which was followed by Cas trying to drag him out of their bed and to the kitchen.

"Whoa whoa, hold on there Cas! I just woke up! I need to shower!" Dean exclaimed, though his voice was still groggy with sleep.

Castiel huffed. "Dean, we showered last night."

"Cas you know I didn't actually clean up, if anything, I got dirtier..." Dean trailed off as he remembered exactly what they had done in the shower. It had been...complicated.

Cas sighed heavily. "Fine. You take your shower Dean, and I'll start breakfast," he said, smirking.

Dean's head whipped up, now wide awake. "No!" He shouted. "No, I do not want the kitchen burning down, or the microwave exploding, or any of that, ever again!"

Cas looked down, hurt. "I am sorry, Dean. I didn't mean to do that, I was trying to help."

Dean's features immediately softened, "Cas, Cas look at me. I'm sorry, that's not what I meant. I'd be happy to help you more, but I need to shower before we can do any of that, okay? Give me five minutes."

Cas sighed, still a little upset. "Okay, five minutes. Then come to the kitchen," he said quietly.

When Dean got up to go into the bathroom, Cas ran to the kitchen to make sure everything was perfect. Dean had evidently forgotten it was his birthday, but Cas hadn't and had prepared a huge brunch consisting of a variety of pie, bacon, pancakes, and some burgers. He had made Balthazar come over every time Dean left and teach him to cook.

"Cas I'm done!" Dean said, still toweling his hair as he walked down the hallway.

Ever word Balth had sweared at him was worth it when he saw Dean's face as Dean took in what Cas had done.

"Happy birthday, Dean." He strode over and guided Dean to the table.

"Yo-you made this? For me?" Dean was in shock.

Cas beamed. "Of course, I love you."

"But how?" They both knew how horrible Cas was in the kitchen, or used to be.

"Balth," Cas said simply.

Understanding dawned in Dean's eyes. "Yeah that makes sense. How much did he curse at you?" He asked, thinking of Balthazar's penchant for swearing.

Cas laughed. "Enough. I had him come over to teach me every time you vacated the house. It took a lot longer than I would like to tell you," he admitted.

"Well thanks, Cas. A lot. No one has done this for me since I moved out. Though I know Sam would've. Anyway, let's eat!" He said, reaching for a plate.

Cas laughed. "Let's eat," he agreed.

Pretty short, but I'm trying to update as often as I can and the chapters get short when I do that.
