Sam sighed heavily. He was writing his third letter "to Gabriel". They were helping him, but it was so goddamn sad to write to him knowing Gabriel would never see it. At the same time, the letters were what allowed Sam to face each day.

He took a deep breath, dipped his quill in ink and began to write.

Dear Trickster,
It's me again, your Sam. This is the third letter, and before I get on to the prompt, I figured I should tell you what's happening. I've gotten slightly better, and Charlie's still a huge help. I've gone back to work, and they've been very kind about everything. They've even let me work halftime until I'm up to working my previous schedule. Cas broke and let me take him to therapy. He's even smiled once or twice since then. Anyway, the prompt. It's Things You Said When We Were The Happiest We Ever Were. It's depressing as all hell to try and pick one of my happiest memories of us, but I did. Two words, Holiday World. I had the time of my life that day with you. We went the Saturday before Memorial Day, and there was basically no one there. We rode the Thunderbird multiple times in a row...it was awesome. The same thing happened with the Voyage. We ride them so many times we got sick and almost passed out on the trolley to the campsite. As I'm sitting here thinking, I have another memory of Holiday World and you. We were there with Jo and Charlie, and we went in the singles line for a watercoaster so we could go faster, and none of us were together. Then we were all on our raft things and a storm siren went off. I had to walk down the ramp, which was scary to be honest. Then, the four of us sat down in an empty raft, expecting to get kicked off, but we weren't. We then spent the whole storm telling jokes and playing games. Once the storm was over they actually let the four of us go one the coaster together. It sounds dumb, and you probably don't remember, but it was amazing for me. Charlie kept joking that we "finessed" the system, which we did. We basically cut in front of everyone, and got away with it. Again, these memories may seem trivial or silly, but they meant a lot, and will always be remembered as amazing for me. I miss you more than anything in the world. Maybe I'll go there again, just to be closer to you.

All my love, Sam, Sammy,

These are based on my experiences with friends. We go camping every year on Memorial Day Weekend after school ends and go ride the bus/trolley thing to Holiday World on Saturday or Sunday. Holiday World is amazing and if you ever go to Indiana I highly recommend it, though not anytime soon....(it's closed due to COVID-19:(
