Storm woke up at the sound of a key in the lock of a door, and Vegas looked at her, whining softly at her as he was nudging her with his cold nose.
"Thanks buddy." She pressed a kiss to the dog's forehead and Archie came to see who it was.
"Archie, I'm home! What's on your mind for dinner..." Fred Andrews had stopped speaking, as soon as he walks into the living room, and then he saw a strange girl on his couch. "Archie?"
He questioned and Storm gulped as her twin brother looked between the two and Storm's eyes went up and she looked straight at Fred not willin to be a girl who just hides.
"Hi Dad." She whispered and he looked at her, and he drops his bag on the floor, and he looked at her, as he'd look to Archie, who nodded.
"Storm," He shakes his head. "My baby girl is home?" He asked and he hugged her tightly, and Storm felt the emotions rushing back and then eyes were running with tears again.
"It's me, Dad. I came... I came home. I promised you that I would, and I did. I even got permission." She whispers as they hugged tightly.
"Who else knows that you're home, my little hurricane?" Fred asked now, as she eagerly ate the food from Pop's diner, and Pop kept bringing food.
"It is like... it is honestly like you don't even try to breathe between bites." He said and Archie let out a loud chuckle.
"Thanks, Pop." Archie says to the kindly owner, as he brought them a couple of milkshakes.
"No problem for any of you three at all. Archie, Storm, Fred." Pop said to the trio as Storm finally stops eating and Archie raised his eyebrows.
"Yes Archie, I'm done eating now." She insists, and he hugged her quickly just before she was ambushed by Cheryl.
"Ooh, a new girl." The redhead queen bee said and Storm snorted at her any recognition washed away, in the cold, freezing depths of her eyes.
"Cheryl Blossom. With no doubt in my mind, still the very rich spoiled brat of town and the girl who's threatened by anyone who is deemed prettier then a certain redhead."
Storm said coldly, as Archie raised eyebrows very much appreciatively at her sister's sense of blunt cold words, a brutal tactic that would work very well for anyone who would or could be hurt by anyone else.
Storm stood up as Cheryl took a step back away from her, as Storm sighed at her. "Cheryl Blossom. Pride and joy of her family. Do you know, who I am, now?" She asked.
"You're the other Andrews. There is no way in hell, that anyone else could or even would be so bold as to do it."
Cheryl backed away and walked towards Pop's counter, tossing the money at Pop, before running off, and out of the diner with her order.
"I hate girls like that." Storm responded to Archie's look of surprise on his face, as she sat back down. "It's nothing new. I got bullied a lot when I first moved to Chicago with Mom. The girls there were like Cheryl, but about a hundred times worse. They move in packs, all of them. There's never just a girl. There always has to be five or six, or sometimes more." Storm muttered to the both of them, just as Fred was driving them all home.
"It doesn't matter to me about whatever the hell happened to you in Chicago Tempest. Because you are not there anymore. You're here and now I hope that you won't leave again."
Fred said, looking back at her now in his rearview mirror, as he pulled into the driveway.
"Do you guys mind if I take Vegas out on his last walk tonight? I just need a.. I just need some time to think." Storm said and Vegas barks, winding himself around her legs.
"Well, he definitely seems up for it, so go ahead. But are you sure that you're good to go out alone?" Fred asked and she catches the leash, that he tossed to her.
"I'm fine, Dad. Even if I wasn't, Vegas would be there to protect me." Storm's voice was factually accurate, even if a tone of voice was shaking.
"All right, Hurricane. Just be home before 10." Fred smiles at her as she clipped on the leash, and Storm walks out of the house with Vegas.
Her phone buzzed in her pocket and she pulls it out as Vegas calmly trots at her side, showin' no signs of wantin to go for a run away from her.
"Hope you don't mind. I got your number from Archie. - III"
Storm smiles at the tag at the end and she shakes her head at Jughead's texts and she typed quickly.
"No biggie. It's not like I don't know you, Jughead. I'm not the normal girly girl. Also, you used to constantly use it as a name brand."
She sent the message, and he sent a simple thumbs up in response, while she was turning around to walk home with Vegas, who was growling now.
"Buddy, what's up?" She asked, as she was now looking around at the streets around them, not seeing anything.
"Oh, I get it." She said as she walked up the street with Vegas who was now stuck to her side like glue even more.
"Go inside, boy. I'll only be a minute. I promise." She said as then Vegas went into the house, and she turned around to see a couple people waiting around on the edge of the porch.
"I thought I told you guys that I'd come back when I was ready?" She asked and the flash of a snake tattoo was visible on one of their arms and she sighed.
"I'll come back eventually, but before I do. I need all of complete guarentees that my twin and father have no ideas about this. Also they are completely in the dark, in every way." She muttered to them, as she knew that her brother would probably be up still.
The taller of the two nodded and she walked back inside, shutting the door behind her and she walked to her one duffel bag that she hadn't opened yet.
She shakes her head, and pushed it underneath the couch bed, and lay on the bed, knowing that sleep would not be coming soon tonight.
