Storm was in a meeting of the Swords and Serpents with the rest of the teens in the Serpents as Jughead began to go on his rants again.
"This isn't just a demolition notice. It's a notice of extermination." Jughead, his face was extremely frustrated as he crumpled up the paper.
"We've already said our goodbye to Southside High, Jughead." Toni says as Storm sighed.
"Today, it's Southside High, tomorrow, it's the Wyrm. Everything, that makes the Southside home... is gonna slowly, disappear." Jughead says. "If we roll over now, it's all over." He snapped.
"I'm with Jughead on this." Storm's voice cut into and clean through the tension filled silence in the classroom and everyone looked at her.
"I may have been born and raised on this side of the tracks, but where I was born, it never mattered to me. Still not a powerful contributor to any choice I make. You guys have said Goodbye to the school, I get it. But if we roll over now, as Jughead so blatantly puts it, I can use all my power of lawyers, but I won't be able to make a dent if I try to stop it." She said.
"So basically you're saying that if we change our minds later, after he takes Southside High, that we can't stop it?"
Fangs asked and she looked at all of them. "I'm not an optimistic person. I won't be that person who gives you all a bunch of details that are altered and sugarcoat, so that you guys can all get sleep at night. If we don't try, and stop it now together, we won't get another shot." She said.
"It's just a building, Jug." Toni began, as if Storm hadn't just spoke at all.
"No, Toni, it's the soul of the Southside. The Uktena fought and died trying to protect that land. Our parents fought to keep it safe during the riots. Now it's our turn. It's our time. This is our fight. So who's with me?" Jughead asked and they looked at him. "Who's ready to go to war?"
Storm whistled loudly and the other Serpents all looked up at once as the soaking wet Archie approached them at Southside High.
"Well, well, well, calvary's finally here. Guess that means that we got Hiram's attention." Jughead says as Storm shifted slightly and her chains clanked.
"Are you nuts? Chaining yourself to this place? And Storm, what the hell are you doing here?" He asked.
"You can call it some family loyalty, Archie. You are working against our dad, siding with the Lodges. I'm using their ideals against them, and I have a lot of help this time." Storm says, very calmly and Archie scoffed.
"Does Dad know that you're doing this? Chained up to a school that you never went to? Does Mom even know, for that matter?" He snapped.
"Yes and Dad agrees with me. So unless you're planning on chaining up, go away." She says.
"You guys are crazy. They're gonna tear it down in two days." Archie says and his eyes blazed.
"Not unless Hiram wants the blood of nine young Serpents on his hands. We aren't going anywhere." Naturally, at once Jughead had a response.
"Eight." Archie corrected, staring at his sister, who just simply stared back at him with a cold look on her face.
"Go and tell your boss we said that. As it is, we are nine young Serpents. Your sister passed the trials. You can say, all you want that she isn't, but she is." He said and Archie rode off.
"He really does hate me now." Storm says with a humorless laugh, as they'd all be in various states of dozing.
"Are you sure that you're not gonna get arrested for trespassing or setting up protests without a permit?" Betty asked and Storm laughed.
"We're a bunch of teens Betty. Anyone tries to manhandle us it'll look like the Sheriff in town is trying to commit the assault against teenagers. Even just as that, we're also Southside Serpents. If the other Southside Residents see it, a riot will show itself." She says.
"I keep forgetting that you're a lawyer, Tempest." Betty said with a grin and Storm cracked a slight smile of her own.
"See if Sheriff Keller or his goons try and manhandle a bunch of teens, who are peacefully trying to save their ex school, minus Storm over there, it will look ugly. Not to mention probably go viral, which... at this point is publicity that I would welcome." Jughead says.
"Also, no one's gonna mess with those guys over there." Jughead points over, to where FP, he was standing with few of the older Serpents motorcycles and a car behind them.
"Good point. I have some student council obligations with Veronica. But I'll be back later tonight, okay?" She says and Betty brought over a couple of coffee cups from Pop's and Storm's was gone in three gulps.
"How do you do that?" Sweet Pea asked and she shrugged with a loud burp in response, causing everyone to laugh.
Everyone was still chained up and everyone outside was gathered and now Archie, along with the rest of the wrestling team, was forcing their way through the crowds with bolt cutters.
Archie took the first cut and then the wrestling team was shoving them all, one by one away from the school.
Even Storm got shoved hard in the back by a few of them and she shakes her head, and followed the others, out of the view of the others.
