After school, they were all at the riverbank with every Serpent and now FP, he was preparing to give his speech and he locks eyes with Storm, who nodded slightly.

"Some sixty years ago! The very first Serpent meeting, took place on these same riverbanks."

"Now, it makes sense that this is where we gather now, where I-- where I say my goodbye. Jughead, will you step up here, son?" FP asks, and a shove from Storm was what it took for Jughead to find his dad.

"I'm retiring from the Serpents. For real this time. Now, my boy... my boy, he has never stopped fighting for this crew. Hell, he almost died for it. That's why I'm giving you the mantle."

FP calls and everyone cheered and Storm whistled and winced when she saw that Fangs had been accidentally hit in a sore spot by Sweet Pea.

"But hang on a minute. He still has a couple more things to do before he is really, the Serpent King." FP says and looked at Jughead, who looked out at the Serpents.

"Every King, needs a helper. A commander, a strong leader by his side. Or in my particular case now... I need two. Tempest! Sweet Pea! Get your sorry asses up here now!"

Jughead says and Fangs whistles sharply and Storm shakes her head as she jogged up to the pair along with Sweet Pea. "And now, for your first official duty as Serpent King." He says as he held out the jacket to Cheryl.

Storm and Sweet Pea stood on either side of the stage, as now Cheryl, she as a person now, was officially a Serpent.

Storm was lying on the couch, her head on Sweet Pea's leg, and Sweet Pea looks at her. "Do you think that he had a reason, for choosing the both of us?" He asked and she tilted her head at him slightly in thought.

"You're the brawn, with a bit too much anger in his system, and I'm the brain with a little too many words in mine." She said and he looked at her.

"So you think that he was trying to balance it out?" He asks and then she looks up at him again.

"Honestly Pea, I don't know what he was thinking. We'd be a horrible thing to do to someone that made us angry."

She said and he looked at her. "You said 'us'." He noted and she narrowed her eyes, quickly backtrackin' through the last two seconds of conversation.

"Correct Sweet Pea, I think I did." She says, and he looked down at her. "You figured it out." She said.

"It's about damn time isn't it? I guess I haven't been seeing it. I've got the best person lyin' next to me the entire time and I didn't even think about it." He says and she looked up at him once again, glints of mischief in her eyes.

"Don't you let my brother hear you say that Sweet Pea, he will have your head for it." She said and he looks at her with a smirk on his face.

"But I have got my very own lawyer to defend me now, don't I?" He asked and she looked at him with a laugh.

"Wouldn't go that far." She said and kissed him. It was impulsive as hell, as the door wasn't even locked as far as they knew.

When they finally woke up, the other Serpents were running in and out, all looking frazzled.

"What's wrong?" Storm asked, yanking on a tank top, and pulling on her Serpent Jacket.

"Storm, I'm sorry. But your brother was just arrested at his inauguration ceremony." Jughead says and Storm's eyes widened and her hands began to shake.

Sweet Pea looked at Storm, almost immediately recognizing the warning signs of an incoming panic attack, or in Storm's case, a black out.

"Everyone get back! Somebody find Fred Andrews! Now!" FP shouted as he was among the Serpents, and then when Storm fell, Sweet Pea, Jughead, they were there to catch her.

"Someone call her mother! Now!" FP was heard shouting at people that was in the distance all the while Sweet Pea and Jughead, they agonized over their person who was a fellow leader, their peacekeeper. A girl who they thought, would be there for everything. Whose only hope now was that her mom and dad would arrive to help them now.

"Come on Tempest, hang on." Sweet Pea murmured and he held her hand tightly and then he felt a squeeze. It was weak as hell, but it was there.

"Oh my god!" Fred shouted, running through the crowd and finding Sweet Pea sitting there, with Storm propped up and lying against him.

She was trembling, but she was awake now. "No one has ever gotten her to wake up that quickly, kid, who are you?" Fred asked and Storm looks at him.

"Dad, this is Sweet Pea. Sweet Pea, this is my dad the guy Fred Andrews." She spoke in a joking tone of voice.

"None of this is funny Storm! You passed out for God's sakes." He snaps at him.

"You're right, but right now. I've got lawyer stuff to do. So if you excuse me I need to get down to the station so I can hopefully get my twin brother out of whatever trouble he's got himself into now." She says coldly, but when Fred tried to protest, Sweet Pea very simply just picked her up and carried her towards FP's car.

"I didn't know he had a car." She mumbled as he got in the driver's seat and he shakes his head.

"Hell if I knew about it at all. But, come on Tempest, let's get you to the station. After all, Archie needs you."

He said, and then she began to almost laugh again, as he drove off towards it the place that would decide the fate of her brother.
