Storm was just blinking her eyes open, when she leapt up with a loud shout, flicking open her switchblade, at someone's shadow hanging there in her doorway.
"Woah! It's me!" Jughead's voice was almost startled by her for a second or two, and Storm lowered the blade.
"That was not funny Jughead. Not at all Jones, you hear me?" She asked as he was laughing, and she lowered her head with a sigh.
She closed the switchblade and put it on her bedside table. "What's up Jug, I mean... to what do I owe this honor?"
She asked and he sighs quietly to her and she looked up again. "Is it things, that only a Serpent can do?" She asks and he shakes his head.
"It's uh..." He didn't seem to know how to say what he needed to say to her now. "Sweet Pea." He finished and she sighed.
"What did that idiot do now?" She asked half to herself more then Jug, as she shrugged herself, into her Serpent jacket.
"It's not what he's done this time. It's what he might do in the future. Can I count on you to help me?" Jughead's voice was deliberately pleading and a sigh came from Storm.
"You really need to stop asking me of all people, for favors Jughead. I'm not a favor machine. You start over there, at Southside High today right?" Storm asks and Jughead nodded.
"I'll be there at lunch, but you have to promise me, that you'll be careful. His name is deceiving. He is definitely not sweet unless he trusts you. If, you piss him off, he is extremely dangerous." A tone of hesitation was in her voice.
"Will you come with me?" He asked and she looked at her phone, and she nods slightly at him.
"I'm ahead in all of my classes anyways. Besides, I need to talk to a couple of Serpents who go there for a bit anyways." She says, and he looked at her with a knowing look. "Yes, Pea's one of them. Get over it Jughead." She says and he smirks at her, and she hit him on the head as they walked down the street.
Toni Topaz gave Storm a huge hug when she saw her walking through the metal detectors, and she smiled at her.
"Toni. Where are the guys at?" She asked and she nodded at the cafeteria and she nods.
"Come on. I'll show you around Jughead, while also escorting our only slightly calmer, also female version of Sweet Pea himself, into the cafeteria."
Toni says while Storm shakes her head at the endless jokes coming from both of them now, as they walked into the cafeteria, as now the Serpent table was clapping when they saw her.
"Hey! There she is." Fangs says and punched her in the arm as she did the same back to him.
"How's your old man?" Sweet Pea asked as she sat at the table across from them and looked around at the other gangs.
Especially the Ghoulies, who seemed to be real interested in her now. "They won't lay a finger on you, definitely in not anywhere near here Tempest. You have got our jacket and our tattoos. In here, our symbols mean everything."
Sweet Pea and Fangs were saying as Storm looked away from the Ghoulies and focused on the real reason, all of why she had actually come here.
"My old man? He's okay. Just... he's recovering okay. Still sore and stiff, he can't work, so I'm gonna have to cover bit more then normal. I'm making all the food, because my brother can't of course, cook anything unless it's like a piece of shoe leather when it's cooked, or burned to a crisp, shit ton done."
She scratched the back of her neck as she spoke and Fangs chuckled. "Sweet Pea can't cook anything either. Should we be askin' you for cooking tips?" He asked and Sweet Pea shoved him hard as his face flushed, with very as is, big rather clear embarrassment.
"Shut up Fangs. Are you absolutely sure that it's you, that can't actually cook for shit?" Sweet Pea asked.
"Boys, please. I'm sure that you both suck at cooking equally," the two boys looked at Storm who raised a eyebrow and simply continued to speak. "But it would be some good practice for me it would be, to tutor someone. So, sure, I will teach you guys. But I'm not havin' two guys in my kitchen at once." She says and they both looked at her. "My old man might have a heart attack."
They nodded at her and the Ghoulies were watching her again, their almost dead looking eyes, all now pointed, in her direction.
"I think we should go teach them a lesson boys. She's one of us, they don't get it yet." Sweet Pea says and it was a unanimous vote as now every hand at the table went up, with fingers curled, to make it look like snake fangs.
"Well, I'm just gonna go." Storm muttered quietly, and she quickly walks away from the very tense and filled cafeteria, and her hands were shoved deep in her pockets.
