Storm was lying on the couch, still looking sick after the death of Midge Klump. She pulls up blankets around her as Sweet Pea knocked on the door.
"Hey." He said and he sat next to her and she sat up slightly, trembling. "It's a horrible time, and I know it seems a little bit stupid.. but are you coming to school?" He asked, and then, she looks at him with a almost smile on her face and he sighed. "Okay, a lot stupid." He admitted and she chuckled at him and nodded.
"I needed someone to drag me out of bed. My dad won't do it Archie's going around getting votes for my dad, and I was too scared of seein' things around me to get up on my own." She admits, and he looked at her.
"Seeing things?" He asked quietly and she gulped quickly, and put aside four huge warm blanket, that she had been totally wrapped in.
"When I'm scared, or when I've seen something horrible, or been through something horrific..." She wiped her eyes quickly and gulped again.
"I start to see stuff. Stuff that isn't there. Some of the things from my nightmares. It's hallucinations, from PTSD of stuff that has happened to me. It took over two years before I went outside again after..." She stops speaking as soon as she pulled on an oversized hoodie, that she had clearly borrowed from her brother.
"The trauma that your mom mentioned from before." Sweet Pea murmured as she put on her familiar Slytherin symbol necklace.
"Yeah. You're right." She said and picked up her backpack and almost dropped it again.
"Here." He murmured and took it from her. She hugged him, as they walked out and she locks up.
"Thanks Pea. Normally this is when people would ditch me, or send me to a place that's like hell for people. Or to an asylum. That's what I got from the people in Chicago after what... they all mercilessly destroyed me with words, and it drove me back inside... for two years at least. I'm glad that I have got people like you watching my back."
She mumbled and he looked at her with a nod and he looks around. "You think that you can manage your bags, at least to the school? You think you're able to do it without dropping it?"
He asked with a stupid grin on his face, and then she just punches him in the shoulder with a legitimate smile, as she took her bag back from him, as they walked to school.
They were in the classroom for the Sworda and Serpents meeting and the first time all day, Storm was fully alert now.
"War Baby called my father and I from Shankshaw. Our old adversaries, the Ghoulies, have been released."
"Word on the streets is they want Serpent Blood. They're gunning for a rematch. They want war." Jughead was saying and suddenly the door was thrown open and Storm looked panicked immediately and Sweet Pea reached out and grabbed her hand.
It was perhaps by instinct, but whatever the reason, it seemed to work.
"Which one of you reptiles was screwing Midge Klump?" Reggie asked immediately and Storm grips Sweet Pea's hand so tightly that he looked to be in pain, but he sure as hell didn't show it.
"What the hell is going on? This is a private meeting." Jughead snapped at Reggie immediately.
"I'm guessing it was you, Sweet Pea."
Reggie snapped and Sweet Pea leapt off the desk and releases Storm's hand and she followed immediately, ready to be the mediator still, whatever her mental condition was.
"Reggie, that's enough." Archie began, but Sweet Pea cut him off sharply.
"You ass. I didn't even know Midge, but yeah. I get why she wouldn't want fleas from you mangy Bulldogs."
He said and Storm stood strong with Jughead as Sweet Pea tried to force his way to hit Reggie, while Archie stood in Reggie's way, doing the same.
"Serpents, back down! Now!"
"Dark Circle! Stand down!"
The boys looked at each other, as the fighting stopped and Storm picked up her bag, as then she went to walk past all of the Bulldogs and stopped.
"Just for the record Reggie, Sweet Pea was next to me, in the auditorium, the entire time. He wasn't screwing Midge Klump." She murmurs, and hefting up her bag on her shoulder, as she walks out.
"Does that answer your question Bulldog?" Sweet Pea asked coldly, as he walked out after Storm.
"Storm, we have a big problem."
Jughead, he was quickly running through the hallway, and directly over to her the next day, with Toni holding out her phone.
"Oh my god, Fangs." She said and they all almost plowed into Fangs and then suddenly after seeing his weapon, the Sheriff cuffed him.
"Storm!" She looked to see Sweet Pea shoving his way through with the rest of the Serpents, who hadn't seen it.
"I swear, I'll do everything that I can to get him out. He won't get a charge, I promise. But, you have to get another lawyer on this as well."
"They won't trust a teenaged lawyer, who is on her own, who has a Serpent jacket. We need another lawyer." She said and Jughead looked at her.
Storm was already in the room the next day with Fangs as Sheriff Minetta was grilling him and acting shameless as if she wasn't there.
Then Attorney McCoy came in and Storm sighed with relief. "Don't say another word. I, along with Attorney Andrews here, will be representing Mr. Fogarty from here on out, and I would appreciate it if you'd stop now harassing our client." Sierra McCoy says as Storm stood up.
"Yes Sheriff, stop harassing our client." She said, her voice cold and polite at the same time.
