Janus was eight when he watched his future master destroy his current master with Darth Sidious's' own lightening. He'd been told that Emperess Palpatine would continue his training but he could tell that she wouldn't. She'd kill him if she found him. Janus turned to face the boy his age. Remus was a mix between a pet and a best friend, energetic and a little weird. Able to feel the force but unable to use it, Remus tilted his head.

Then the whole room shook. Janus gasped, clutching at his friends' arm. "We have to go!" He whispered. "Emperess Palpatine will kill us, just like she's killed Darth Sidious!"

Remus was a little taller than his Sith friend, with brown hair that was constantly tangled and heavy with dandruff. His eyes were blue, like ice, and he was the only person who never stared at Janus's' scales. The young Sith was a half breed between a serpent-like race and a human, leaving several areas of his body covered in green scales, a forked tongue and great, big, yellow eyes.

"But, Janus!" Remus whined, in a voice that was permanently set to a petulant tone. "I found something!"

"No time, Remus! We have to leave!" Janus instructed.

Remus looked slightly panicked. "Janus-!"

A small sob could be heard and Janus paused. "Is that a child? I didn't know there were other children here."

"That's the thing I found!" Remus smiled.

Janus stared at Remus. "You could have told me you found a human child." Remus shrugged and the room shuddered again. A boulder fell from the roof and Janus raised his hand, forcing it to freeze in mid-air. "Where are they?" He hissed.

Remus snatched the young Sith's' wrist, yanking him over to a knocked-over pillar. The child had been caught completely under the black stone, face soaked with tears that mixed with the rain. His eyes were purple and his skin was nearly white, with black hair. He looked around six and reached out the two boys with scrawny arms. Remus knelt down next to the child. "I've never seen him before. Do you think he has a nametag?"

"Remus, it's a human child, of course not! Hold my lightsaber, I'm gonna use the force to get this off him." Janus said, chucking the unactivated weapon at his friend, who squealed happily, activating the blade. Janus's' lightsaber was dark purple in its' colour, as the Sith was aggressive but not malevolent. Remus moved the blade closer to his friend and the crying boy to give them better light. The room continued to shudder.

The pillar pulled its' way off the boy and Janus gathered him quickly in his arms. "Remus, we gotta go! Keep the saber for now!" He ordered, beginning to back away from where he saw the two silhouettes of Kylo Ren and Emperess Palpatine.

Exegol shook violently, pillars, statues and walls crumbling down upon the three children as they tried desperately to run. It was almost as if the whole world were out to get them, chasing them and hunting them down but Janus and Remus didn't stop for anything. The boy stayed obediently still as the other two carried him along.

Remus waved the lightsaber crazily, slicing off the top of a giant pole that blocked their way. He turned off the saber, scrabbling onto the pole. "Give me the kid!" He said as Janus looked back to see if the Emperess would follow. He hoisted the child up to his best friend and Remus took him.

"Okay," Remus said as Janus began to climb, "I want you to take my friends' lightsaber but you can't turn it on, alright? Get off this pillar and wait for us."

The child nodded, snatching the lightsaber, jumping down and backing up. Remus took Janus's' wrists, pulling him high into his arms. "This place is gonna come falling down any time soon!" Gasped Janus, regaining his breath.
