Ashton's POV

I woke up this morning feeling very good, I don't know why.
I got up early and went on a quick jog. I then returned to the schools kitchen and I ate some yoghurt.

"Up and early today?" Hope says softly, entering the kitchen as she strides to the fruit bowl.
"Yeah, just uh having a good day, I guess." I reply with a smile. She returns the smile before leaving the kitchen with a banana.
She walks back into the kitchen. "Oh and the twins are back today from their trip." She says.
"Thanks for the heads up." She nods her head before leaving again.

I make my way to the front doors to greet the twins.
As the timing is perfect, I meet them as soon as they walk through the doors.

"Hey!" I beam with a smile.
Josie returns the smile and she heads for a hug— that I return. Lizzie on the other hand doesn't seem too happy.
"What's up with her?" I ask Josie.
"You'll see." She says before I follow them to their dad's office.

I peer over Josie's shoulder to see Hope and Dr. Saltzman conversing.

"Uh, girls. What are you doing here?" Dr. Saltzman says, trying to compose himself.
"Mum was able to get us directly into Dulles", Lizzie says. "Then faxed, texted and emailed you our revised itinerary."

By now I had already squeezed into the room to a spot where I could see everyone's faces— also right next to Hope.

"I am so sorry", Dr. Saltzman apologises. "It-it's chaos around here."
"It's okay, dad." Josie reassured him. Jo, always the sweet one. "We know that you're overwhelmed, but Europe was amazing and seeing mum was really good." She then says with a sweet smile.

Lizzie then rolls her eyes. "Jo's covered the the bright side", Lizzie says fuming. "Far less sunny was waiting for you, in the chilly dark of morning, at the terminal and you not showing up."

"In his defence, um, we we've been in crisis mode around here." Hope says contradicting Lizzie's point.
"Oh, we've heard all about it", Lizzie snarks. "You got all bamboozled by one of the monsters and now only two keys separate the entire supernatural community from being consumed by a hell portal."

"Im guessing that weird little vase is one of them?" Lizzie then asks, looking to the urn.
"Urn, actually."
"It's an urn, actually." Both Hope and I correct Lizzie.
Lizzie fake gags, "Finishing each others sentences."
We roll our eyes.

"I don't care what it is", Lizzie says in a mocking tone. "I care that instead of being welcomed at the airport or the front door— thanks Ash, anyways the point is that we were forced to take a three-hour shuttle ride that smelled like an open sewer and feet. Thanks a lot, you two. Way to ruin life for the rest of us." Lizzie then storms out with her suitcase. Josie sent me a little smile before following suit.
