Three:
"I'll be in touch Dean. Call me if anything comes up." I shook his hand standing up. "Mark go to the car I'll be out in a second." He went to protest but I gave him a look that said 'Don't try it.'
He nodded and walked out.
"You want to know if I have seen him? I was wondering when you were going to ask. Mission or not he meant something didn't he? I assumed after it wasn't the first thing you asked that you didn't want your new friends to know." Dean had a hint of amusement on his face as I looked back at him.
"Don't play games with me Dean. Is he here or not?" My voice was low and threatening and I saw a hint of fear flash across his eyes.
Good.
He knows not to test me on this subject.
"He is still here, doesn't go out much though. Although after you left he kind of lost it. I mean the guy was unstable anyway but... he is very dangerous and more heartless then before that's all I'm saying."
"Right. Like I said keep in touch and I will never have to show up here again." I walked out of the room and straight out to the car.
I saw my face in the reflection of the window. My lip, eyebrow and nose was bleeding and I had some nice, new bruises forming on my cheek, jaw and neck.
Nice one, thanks for that Dean.
I got into the car and sped off down the road.
"What the hell was that?" Mark's voice was filled with anger and I could feel his eyes burning holes into the side of my head. "Who was that guy? Why did he know you?"
"I'll explain later." I gave him a quick look showing him that I wasn't in the mood.
"I'm suprised you can still walk straight, let alone drive a car, after the hits you took. You sure you're ok?" I knew he was trying to change the subject.
"That was nothing. He just needed to blow off some steam before having a normal conversation. He's petty like that."
~~~
I walked into the house Mark close behind me, Ace was sat at the kitchen table eating a sandwich, Amir was sat watching TV and Sarah was sat on her computer, they all looked up as we walked back in.
"What the hell happened to you?" Ace said his mouth full with food.
Disgusting creature.
"We have an ally. He can get us info that we need, he should be in touch tomorrow." I walked in to the kitchen grabbing a cup filling it with water.
"Great, but that doesnt answer my question."
"Anna here has some explaining to do." Mark said mockingly, ignoring my glare.
"Anna? Is that your real name?" Sarah poked her head into the kitchen shortly followed by Amir.
Well thanks for that Mark.
"I told you my name is Three. It was a cover name."
"Explain now!" Mark sat down next to Ace. Amir and Sarah took that as a hint and sat down to. Mark then gestured to the seat infront of him.
"Fine, I figured it would come up sooner or later." I sat down, grabbing a tissue to wipe some of the blood off my face, leaning back in the chair. "About 4 years ago me and my team went on a mission. We were sent deep undercover to join the organisation of terrorists known as Vengaza. Our mission was to infiltrate. Gain their trust, find out all the plans in advanced and figure out who the actual leader was. We were undercover for about two years until we were found out. We sent the info we had got back to IPS but we were captured and tortured for information on who we were. Agents 1 and 2 were killed, I barely managed to escape. Whilst I was undercover it meant I had to do stuff... stuff I'm not proud of. Made a lot of enemies, the man I went to see being one of them." I paused to take in there shocked faces. "That the awesome story you were hoping for?" I could hear the venom in my own voice.
