She took the card and swiped it to debit the money.
"Thank you, sir. Here is your card."

"It's okay, please take my personal visiting card and let me know when you are free so that we could talk. What say, dear?" He asks with a smirk and how she wants to wipe that off from his face.

But instead, she smirks back and replies with her chin raised. "Sure thing sir, but I am sorry. If my Ritchie allows me I will contact otherwise I won't be. And he is my everything. If you want, I shall call upon here as he is very eager being to meet new people."

His mouth hung open and probably it might have reached ground now. He didn't want to come between and stand in front of her boyfriend. So he simply did the best.

"Thanks, but no thanks." He said nervously and retrieve his visiting card back. He then without looking back went away.

Lasya wanted to laugh wholeheartedly but since she was in the work station she couldn't do it. Her Ritchie is always helpful in every way for her and she is damn sure that he will be there no matter what... She lives in that confidence in this era of creepy guys...

Shravas was looking at her in amusement when she handled the creepy customer in her own way! He was glad she could handle him while he was thinking to smack his head from behind.

After an hour, Lasya's shift got over and she picked her stuff and started walking down the empty streets. Ritchie was also following him from behind. Shravas was trailing behind Ritchie too.

She gets a call and without seeing the caller ID she picks up.

"Hey la!", excitement could be felt in Tina's voice "how are you doing? Are you done with your shift?" She added.

"Hi Tina. Yup I am fine and busy as usual and yeah, I am done with today. Now I am heading towards my apartment." Tiredness can be felt from her voice.

"What's up with you Tina? Is everything okay there?" Lasya asks in concern.

"Well, I am good. I just called you to inform you of something. To be more specific, a very important matter is and I want to discuss it with you." Tina said in a serious tone.

Lasya stopped walking and sat on a nearby bench. Ritchie started to patrol for just looking over her safety.

"What's the matte,r Tina?" She asked in worry after settling on the bench.

"Nothing chick, just chill first and I am just asking okay, don't be hurry burry.  So the thing is, What's your opinion about you rejoining a college for your engineering bachelors?"
Lasya gasped hearing her sudden question.

She thought from where did her best friend get this ridiculous idea out of nowhere.

"Tina, did you hurt your head somewhere, or did something happen to your brain while doing your funny business, or is this your pregnancy hormones speaking?" Lasya raised her eyebrows with confusion and couldn't think straight as she hears Tina's laughs over the other side of the phone.

"No la, I am perfectly alright. I just wanted to know your opinion. I wish you could fulfill your dreams. Because there is a spot Admission facility of your favorite engineering college going to happen on next Sunday and I heard they provide a full scholarship for meritorious students"

Lasya's jaw dropped down to earth after hearing the best news of her life may be. She couldn't believe what she heard just a second ago.

"Really? A scholarship you mean full scholarship? As in sponsoring the  entire engineering program?" Lasya asked once again to confirm the news.

If this is true, she is planning to give it a chance. Who knows what's written on her face. But if she needs to try it, she will surely do. And later what if her try pays off and she gets a seat in her all-time favorite engineering college.

So she could pursue her dream course of becoming a software engineer.

Thus helping her getting placed in top MNC which will help her to finally settle down in her life after all the struggles.

"Yes, Lasya. That's why I am calling you at this hour. Since this is very urgent and an important matter to share which may change your life forever. And most importantly I dont want you to miss this chance and I know damn much that you are brilliant and you sure gonna crack this program. What say? Shall I accompany you on Sunday cause I am coming back on Saturday evening itself from honeymoon." Lasya has no choice of words to say now and she can't think properly while her mind went numb.

"Lasya, you there. Say something. Hello?" Tina's voice broke her trance of thoughts and she thought for a while and replied confidently.

"Yes, I guess I should give it a try. If it's a complete scholarship program then I am up for it. Otherwise, I don't think I can do much about it cause I don't have that many savings in my name!" Tina chuckles and shook her head on the other side of the phone thinking nothing couldn't be done with this girl.

"Oh God, you and your savings. You will get a complete scholarship so that you need not worry about any kind of payment even for books or transportation. Everything will be covered but the only thing is that you should be able to crack this scholarship gate exam to enter into this program. What say? Are you ready?" Lasya heaved a sigh and replied confidently, "yeah, I am up for it and there is no harm I guess in giving it a try. I think I am going to take two days off for my preparations."

Tina hummed in response.

"That's good. You could get to prepare well and if you need any help please do ask me I mean in monetary matters not in academic cause I am not that brilliant like you!"

Lasya giggled and stood up to continue walking.

"Well, I don't need anything. I have enough of it for that matter. So no issue, also you are also not that bad in studies I guess. Anyway please pass my regards to your hubby. Good night okay. I will call you tomorrow." Lasya said.

"Hm..cya. good night to you too. Take care and eat well" Tina replied happily.

They both cut the call together and in the meantime, she reached her apartment. She felt someone is behind her. She quickly turned around to look but to her dismay, there was no one. She unlocked the door and Ritchie also got in.

"Today was the best day I guess Ritchie. If I get in, we are settled. I will study well and get into top MNC so that our life won't be having this much struggles. What do you say? Shall I go ahead with what my friend said?" Lasya asked him as if he would reply back positively.

But nevertheless, Ritchie wagged his tail and jumped on his place letting her know he also supports her in whatever decision she is taking in their life.

"Cool. Now let's get into bed. I am too sleepy even to take a bath." Lasya said and switched off the living room lights and went ahead to her bedroom.

After freshening up, she got inside her duvet.

"I will contact my employers tomorrow morning and will ask them to give me two days off. I will let them know about this." Thinking about it, she fell into a deep slumber.
