"First day in the college"

The days passed rather quickly, and Lasya was thrilled to attend college as she is finally seeing happiness in her life. She has already talked to her respective bosses at work regarding her resignation and they all seemed to be happy for her and wished her a bright future.

The CEO of Shanks company arranged a farewell party for her and they have given her a valuable gift of around 50k cash as a bonus for the two-year commitment. She had tears in her eyes to see the love and support from them and she hugged them all once again and to bid them goodbye.

She planned to continue working with the supermarket like before since it's in the last shift time so that she doesn't stop getting something around the month. She has enough savings still she plans to earn something during the time cause nobody knows what will happen in the next minute so money is also an important thing in one's life.

Lasya also arranged everything prior, like her sling bag for the college, stationeries, and other things required for the college. As of now, she doesn't need any clothes that need to buy urgently as she has already had enough of them.

She is all set and waits eagerly for the day she is about to join the college.

As for Shravas, he was in cloud-9 cause he will be able to see his love Lasya daily college from now onwards. There is no need to hide and follow her to her workplaces like he used to do before.

Now, as the college will be reopening tomorrow, he can't be more excited than this. But yeah, for the next one week he has to restrain his urge to meet her as for the fresher's, the college will reopen after one week.

Shravas is moving to the third year in computer science engineering. He was wondering which branch Lasya could have chosen?

"Are you ready for the new year to begin in your life, son?" Asked his dad while entering into his room where Shravas was just lost looking at the sky, standing in his balcony. As soon as he heard his dad's voice, he turned to look at him.

"Yeah dad, it's a new day tomorrow and I hope this year will also be very interesting like before." Shravas crossed his arms above his chest and waited for him to come near.

"All the best son, I know you will do better and hey I am requesting you now itself that you will be finishing your MTech in the states once you complete your bachelors. I don't need any other arguments on that."

Once his words left his mouth, Shravas was shocked will be an understatement of the moment as he just forgot about the tradition that has followed for generations. He couldn't form any words and kept his head hung down. Licking his lips, he tried to make some point.

"Dad, that's not fair. There are so many colleges out here and why are you so determined to send me off to the states which I really don't like" he whined like a small kid in front of him to which he got a chuckle and a pat to his shoulders from his dad.

Their talk was interrupted by his dad's phone ring and soon he retrieved it from his pant pockets and looking at the caller ID his face become pale and nervous. Shravas knew it was something very important call and he didn't utter any word after that. "We will talk about this some other day son and don't worry let's see what's in store for you." He winks at him smilingly before leaving the room to attend the call as it seemed to be something related to business.
