When the end of the day came , I told milo my plans and headed towards my locker.

"I'm going to hang with Ben tonight, so you might want to just go home instead of waiting for me at my locker." I spoke, walking to the row of blue lockers.

He laughed.
"Why would you hang out with him?" He asked.

I hadn't told him much about Ben because I didn't want him to think I was choosing Ben over him. Because I'm not, Milo is my best friend.

So last thing Milo knows about Ben is that he was apart of my old friend group that ditched me.

"We talked, he said he accepts me, and that max made him not talk to me. We just want to hang tonight, that's all." I said, partially lying. I don't know what we're going to do tonight, but the way he asked didn't seem like it was going to be nothing.

Milo nodded.
"Alright, have fun. Text me if I need to beat his ass."

I laughed.
"Will do milo. I don't think you will though." I said, opening my locker as he walked away.

I put all of my shit in my backpack and shut my door.

"Hey benji." Ben said, waving as he walked from the hall adjacent from me.

"Hey." I said, waiting for him to walk fully up to me before I started walking to my car.

"Do you have a place in mind to go?" I asked, walking to the door.

He shrugged.
"Do you want to just get McDonald's and chill in the one parking lot. Maybe play some music have a little jam party." He said, doing an impression of a bad dance.

I laughed, doing my own bad dance.

He looked away.
"Yikes, stick to your day job." He said, joking.

I shoved him.
"Oh shut up." I said, "sure, we can do that." I answered.

He nodded, and we got into my car.

I drove to the McDonald's drive through, and looked at the menu.

I've been here probably one thousand times, yet I still look at the menu.

"What do you want?" I ask him. He sucks in his bottom lip, reading the menu.

"Ten piece nugget meal. With a sweet tea." He said.

I nodded.
"Can we get two mc chickens, two sweet teas, and a ten piece nugget meal." I said.

"That'll be 6.49 for the nugget meal and 2.58 for the mc chickens." The lady responded.

Ben handed me a ten dollar bill.

"Keep it. No , actually we're paying together." I said.

"Okay, that'll be 9.06 plus tax." She said.

"Perfect." I responded, driving up to the second window.

"How come you didn't take my money?" He asked, frowning.

I shrugged.
" I have more than what I need, and I don't use it anyway. Might as well treat other people." I said.

He smiled.
"If I knew that I would've gotten an Oreo McFlurry." He joked, laughing.

I handed the lady my card and she gave us our bags of food.

"Hey, would it be possible to add on a McFlurry?" I asked.

The woman nodded.

"Benji!" Ben said, swatting my arm.

I laughed.
"What? You said you wanted it." I smiled.
