Gasps escaped the thankful Narnian's mouths as the news spread through Narnia like a wildfire; Hopes rose higher than the sun and children danced through the streets. Although confusion was high they rejoiced in their glory and faith that Narnia would once again be a harmonious civilasation ran by the four children of Eve and their current King.

On the eve of the wedding, Susan felt her first kick, for it had been 5 months since the magical night that started her new journey. She cried for Caspian to come feel, but she wasn't allowed to see him before their big day. Reassuringly, Caspian perched in-front of the large oak door and expressed his joy. It broke his heart not being able to see his bride, but tradition must be kept, even if he had already broken a rule.

Despite the aches and pains, Susan knelt down at the door and confessed her unrequited love for Caspian. His stomach filled with butterflies as he listened to her quivering, angelic voice. Equally he returned the gesture. The couple hid their fear in their voices as they vowed to be at the alter, and although they couldn't see each other through the wooden frame they knew their eyes we're swelling. "I must go, my love, Peter will be wondering where I am. I promised him that I would raise a glass to our families health. I love you with all my heart and tomorrow you'll be in my arms again, except this time as my wife."

Susan concealed her tears long enough to reply: "I love you."

Caspain had thoughts of knocking down the door, sweeping Susan of her feet and spending the night alone. But atlas Caspian turned on his heel and walked away, leaving his heart by the door.

Since her return, Susan hadn't spent a day apart from Caspian; Now it had been a week. Her thoughts hung like a dark clouds above her head, her deep emotions surpassed the excitement of the wedding. Each moment away from him brought a burning desire to be held accompanied by loneliness and sorrow. Only last week was she waltzing around a ballroom with Caspian's hands intertwined with hers.

Knock Knock.

The handle twisted and creaked as Lucy turned it. "Hey Su, I was wondering if you wanted to come watch the sunset with me?" Pitifully, she asked as her feet wondered towards a sobbing Susan. "One more night and then you'll have forever by his side." She paused before pulling her into a lovingly tight hug. "You're the bravest woman I know, the sort of person I aspire to be. The hormones and the absence of Caspian may control your mind but you're a fighter. But most of all, you're my sister and I'm not going to let you tear yourself apart over this."

"What if I'm not ready for it all what if I'm still too young?" Susan hadn't spoken these words out loud before and they took her by surprise. "I love him more than words could express, but what if I don't want to grow up yet. We've been adults before, ruled a kingdom but what if I was just enjoying being a child again. He makes me feel alive and I'm scared marriage and parenthood will only break us apart."

Lucy kisses her sisters forehead and slowly breaks from her grip. Her smile raised Susan's spirit. Lucy wiped away the tears that had fell before loosely tying Susan's hair up.
Previously in life, Susan had been more like a mother to Lucy than a sister due to their unfortunate circumstances that lead to their journey away from their parents. However, in this moment the tables had turned. Lucy helped Susan undress before picking out a comfortable, yet beautiful dress for her to wear. Gently, she kneeled down an placed a kiss upon the bump and whispered her excitement to meet them. She wished for a girl, as did Susan but Caspian longed for a future king.

Moments later, the pair were ready. Lucy grabbed Susan an overcoat and two blankets before unlocking the balcony door. They interlocked their arms as they promenaded towards the edge of the garden.

As they passed the frosted branches the pair reminiscence on their time in Narnia and the hurdles they've over come as a family. Susan even smiled for the first time in what felt like forever. "Now Edmund is drinking with the men. So we shall raise a glass of wine to them." She smirked. Susan's face expressed shock as her sister suggested alcohol to her. "It's just juice for you, I'm not stupid." She laughed, causing her sister to sigh with relief.

Slowly the sisters sat on the bench, and wrapped themselves within the blankets. It wasn't quite the hen night that Susan imagined for herself. When she was back in America, she dreamed about her Prince; how they'd dance at balls, how there lips would connect with hers once more and most importantly how if he was to ever find his way to her that she would marry him.

In her imagination: she'd go drinking with the her friends in the pub before sharing drunken secrets by the fire. The next morning she'd have a white wedding in the local church, simple but elegant. Her dress would be tight but flattering and most certainly in fashion. She had dreamt that the war had ended and that her whole family, including her mother and father, would be there to witness such a joyous event. They would honeymoon on the coast and she'd be with child within a month of marriage. However this was no longer a dream, and instead she was marrying her Prince just under extraordinary circumstances.

Mesmerised by the setting sun, the sisters sat peacefully as they gossiped. It wasn't much but it was a moment in time that they would never forget. Once the horizon had swallowed the sun, the pair went in search of Lilliandil to continue the shenanigans. The ladies danced around their rooms and ate the finest fruits the land had to offer. It was a beautiful sight. When it was time to say goodnight, the ladies all shed a tear of joy before returning to their bedchambers as there was only fourteen hours until the wedding.

So sorry this is long over due, I go through stages in which I no longer wish to write. This is due to the fact that I'm scared I'm going to ruin this book and over the past three years it has brought me joy to see it become the story it has. There will be one more chapter and the story will be completed. I can not promise it will be finished before the end of the year but I shall try to start writing it as soon as I click publish. I hope you've all enjoyed it and I hope the story made you love Suspian as much as I do.

If you're tired of waiting for my to upload I did start writing a romance novel called 'A Journey to Soulé' it is based on 'On My Mind' but is a completely original story with a new storyline. The first few chapters start the same but it will become a story on its own. This is so I do not get told off for copyright.
