(Argen) is distraught.
He and many others had come here in hopes of ending Apollyon's reign of terror, but her death has led to the opposite way. The Knights, Vikings, and Samurai, once in a very unstable time of peace have gone to war once more, like how their ancestors did since time immemorial. Their mission was a disaster.
However, (Argen) isn't about to give up. He was so close to seizing the goal, he thought. If he almost succeeded, then he can do it better.
(Argen), Mercy, Hirtzel, and the Lightshields descended from the highest level and regrouped with the rest. Davius and Alyssa are wounded along with numerous others, but they just barely managed to push back the Blackstones.
Joseph Louis: "Lorderius, there is something you must know." The French commander spoke to (Argen) as he passed by.
(Argen): "What is it?" (Argen) asked. Louis paused, them he answered.
Joseph Louis: "The citizens, Lorderius. They have been trying to escape, but all paths are blocked not by us or the Samurai, but by Apollyon." He tells him. As a Knight who had sworn his life to protect those who cannot defend themselves, (Argen) is shocked and angered.
(Argen): "What?! Why would Apollyon do that?!" He demanded.
Joseph Louis: "We don't know."
Janna Goldfire: "(Argen), we have to protect them! The Vikings will be here any time now!" Janna breathes out.
(Argen) then demanded that he is brought to where the citizens are hiding. They came upon a castle where a large crowd of innocent people as well as Blackstone Knights standing by to defend their last hope. (Argen) demanded that they open the doors to the castle, but the Blackstone commander refused. Tired of dealing with Blackstone fanaticism, he ordered the Lightshields to use their fire flasks and destroy the wooden doors.
The castle doors was blasted open and (Argen) and his troops entered as the Blackstones formed a line and prepared themselves for a last stand. However, (Argen) didn't draw his sword, nor did any of his men.
Blackstone Commander: "Stand back, Lorderius! These are innocent citizens! They don't have to die in this war!" The Blackstone commander who is a Warden yells to (Argen).
(Argen): "No. They don't have to." (Argen) replied as he walked closer to the Blackstone commander.
Naturally, the commander raised his sword and pointed it towards (Argen). (Argen) knew that they still see him as an enemy, but now, even though he hated the Blackstone Legion, he needs them to join forces with him now that the war has renewed.
(Argen): "Apollyon is dead, commander. You don't have to follow her ways anymore." He tells the commander.
Blackstone Commander: "You think that will convince us to join you?" The commander retorts.
(Argen): "No, of course not. But, war has begun again, my friend. Apollyon had brought this to our people; the very people we as Knights have sworn to protect, and Apollyon had gifted them with fear and death." He says to the commander. Then he started speaking to everyone. "We all are born into this world without knowing what lies ahead of us. We have let fate dictate our lives, and handed the reins to those who promised us protection, prosperity, and peace!"
"We have fought under those leaders because we believed that we have our jobs to do! We let Apollyon control our fates and look what she has brought us! Instead of peace and prosperity, she has brought us war!"
