"So Alice, Blair told me you graduated at sixteen, that's really impressive I must say." Sarah said as we started to fill our plates with ham, green beans, potatoes and everything else that filled the air with an intoxicating aroma

I tightened my grip on Blair's hand under the table nervously "Yeah, I graduated at sixteen and then went onto college before doing my student teaching."

So far I had avoided the topic of her being my student but it seemed like Sarah was going to keep pressing until it became the discussion.

"When did you start teaching here?" Sarah asked curiously

I nervously smiled over at her "Just this year."

"I'm sorry I don't mean to make you nervous, I'm just curious is all." Sarah said before taking a bite of ham

"You're totally fine," I smiled awkwardly "thank you so much for having me over, everything is delicious."

"You're welcome anytime and thank you, it's my mom's old recipe." Sarah grinned proudly

Blair laughed softly "You say that like she's dead or something."

Sarah laughed "She's actually supposed to be coming up soon to visit, I can let you know when so you can see her if you'd like. I still have to tell her about everything with Scott."

What happened with Scott?

"I'd love to come over and see her." Blair grinned before taking a big bite of mashed potatoes and gravy

I laughed softly at her and Sarah's attention turned back to me "So when did you two start dating?"

"Well that's a bit complicated." Blair said smiling over at me and squeezing my hand slightly

Sarah let out a chuckle "I can imagine it would be, I understand why you thought I wouldn't approve since she's your teacher but now I see why you like her."

I smiled to myself as Blair replied "She is pretty great isn't she?"

Sarah nodded "I'm just glad you're happy."

~Later That Night~

Dinner at Sarah's had gone much better than I originally expected. Obviously it was my first time meeting Sarah so I wasn't quite sure what to think of her but she genuinely seemed like a nice woman. Blair had explained what happened with Scott when we got home and I felt awful that he had done that to Sarah for all this time. She had let me read the note from her mom and showed me the wedding rings strung on a chain around her neck that now accompanied the necklace I had given her this morning. I hadn't seen Blair this happy in a long time and she looked adorable snuggled up on the couch with a cup of coffee in her hand.

She looked up and smiled at me "See something you like?"

"Always." I replied sitting next to her

She smiled softly a cute blush filling her cheeks "It's so weird, even though we were apart for a month it feels like no time had passed at all."

"I don't want to waste another second I could spend with you so I'm glad things aren't too awkward between us." I replied taking a sip of my coffee

It was true, the month apart had sucked but I didn't want to focus on that now. I still hadn't told Blair about Sarah stopping by the other day but I wasn't sure when would be the right time. Amber had surprisingly left us alone since everything happened and seemed content with the fact that we weren't together even if she still wasn't dating Blair.

"You okay?" Blair asked breaking me from my thoughts

I sighed nodding my head "Just thinking about everything."

"Such as?" She questioned

I rolled my eyes "Well, I wasn't sure when to tell you since I didn't want to upset you as soon as you came back into my life but Sarah stopped by the other day."

"I'm assuming you don't mean my adopted mom." She half joked seeming anxious

I laughed "No definitely not, she tried apologizing for everything."

"Very out of character for her." Blair chuckled

I nodded "She mentioned that Amber was black mailing her but I barely even let her speak before I slammed the door in her face. "

"She deserved it either way, honestly I'm just glad she quit." Blair shrugged carelessly

I nodded in agreement "Me too."

"I feel like our lives are turning into some reality TV show or something." Blair said with a laugh before bringing her cup to her lips and taking a small sip of the brown liquid

"I still can't believe the shit with Scott." I stated agreeing with her

Her face went pale, something I didn't expect as she spoke "I can."

"Did you know?" I questioned curiously

She shook her head seeming to grow more pale by the second "Not exactly."

"What do you mean?" I asked running my fingers through her soft blonde locks

She froze looking up at me like a child who just got caught breaking the rules "Nothing just forget about it."

"You know you can talk to me Blair." I said calmly still playing with her hair

She shook her head "Let's talk about something else."

As much as my curiosity was killing me, I was genuinely worried for her even more. In all the time I've known Blair, I've never seen her react like that to anything else we've discussed.

"Okay," I paused "but before we do I just want you to know that I'm here when you're ready to talk."

She nodded "Thank you."

"Of course." I smiled placing a kiss on her forehead

She smiled softly seeming to have calmed down a bit "So I have a question."

"Ask away." I chuckled cuddling up to her

She seemed a bit nervous but I couldn't tell if it was because of the earlier topic or not "I'm not really sure how to ask this but, um, do you not want to have sex with me for some reason?"

I'm sure I looked shocked "No Blair why would you even think that."

She shrugged not making eye contact "I don't know, we just haven't in a month because of everything and even though I stayed here last night we didn't and I just started over thinking I guess."

"Blair trust me, I always want to fuck your sexy ass." I said pulling her face up gently to look at me

She blushed softly, her eyes swimming "There's something else I need to ask, did you see anyone else while we were apart?"

"No," I shook my head looking into her eyes that seemed to be growing darker "did you aside from the burnette hyped up on molly?"

"Well," she whispered out looking down "there was something that happened."

"What happened Blair?" I questioned feeling a familiar tightness in my chest

Her face was now almost as pale as earlier, she seemed so much more anxious now. As I met her gaze she seemed miles away hiding behind her ocean eyes. Part of me was scared to hear what she'd say next but I tried not to show it.
