The sun began to rise, as I started to wake up from my alarm. "Good morning cousin," Tay said, putting a glass of water next to my table. "Thanks, Tay." I picked up the glass of water and started to drink it slowly. "So, how are the new recruits? Still, have a lot to learn?" Tay asked. I looked at her with confusion and fear. "They are getting better, but they still have a lot to learn. They have to be ready for anything that comes their way." "And what about those two love birds, Tyliah and Naomi?" Tay asked. "It's been three days. They're getting better at learning how to double team." I finished, as I grabbed my commander jacket and started to put it on. Tay started looking at me with a weird look in her eyes. "What's on your mind, Tay?" I asked. "Why ask that?" "Because I know that look. You're curious about something, aren't you?" I asked her. She sighed, then started to speak, "Ok. It's been on my mind for the past few weeks. I've been feeling this way ever since we got here but, I think there's a mole in our group." My eyes turned narrow, as I looked at her confused. Tay goes on and tells me an event that happened to her a few nights before. "I was walking down the forest, getting some fresh air as usual. When suddenly, I started to hear noises coming from the north side of the forest."
"I started to walk down the north side path in the woods, getting a breath of fresh air when automatically I see a group of people in dark clothing. They all had hoods over their heads and they wore these weird-looking masks. I hid behind a tree, hoping they wouldn't see me. They were talking in a circle, saying something about a ritual that can take the most powerful magics out of a person's body, depending on what kind of magic they wish to take. Then, one of them took out a golden knife. A knife that they will use to put the blood of the magic that they want to take away from them. They said a spell that had put two names on the knife. Mine and yours. I ran off, completely afraid of what might happen." I started to feel sick to my stomach, as I sat on my bed. "And you might get mad when I say this but..." She took a big deep breath and what she said made my heart stop. "I think I heard Alex's voice in the forest. Talking on the radio with someone. She may be the-" I stopped in the middle of her sentence. "No. stop. You're lying. Alex would never do that. She's been in the Elementalist for years now. You can't just blame her on something we don't know yet." I said to her. "But the clues are there Dri. She's been acting extremely weird around me, especially to you. She completely ignored you all last week. Y'all had plans that didn't happen because she said she had "other plans" or " went out training". Doesn't that make you a little suspicious about that?" I started to think about last week. We did have a whole week planned. She hasn't given me a reason why she canceled. My eyes went from anger to sadness. "I'm sorry cousin. We have to keep an eye on her. Come on, let's get to training the squad." We started to walk down to the main control room, as I started to think. Can my girlfriend really be a mole? I can't think that right now. I must train my team.
