C-Cant...breathe...must...get out...please someone help us...save us...please... I was thinking in my head, as I'm laying on the gray and broken wall. My clothes are burned and torn, with blood marks everywhere. I looked around the cell I'm in. The walls were torn and grey, there was a sleeping bag...and nothing else. We barely get any food, but we usually get water...and lots of it. There's a bucket in case we needed to use the bathroom. The bars were thick and black, if you touch them, they would make you feel weak for a few minutes. Were in the area of the base where Cheyenne keeps her prisoners. There are wall lights outside the cell, but she turns them off at night, so we could be in complete darkness. Though our powers are weak inside the cell, we could use our power to at least create some light...which helps...when I'm scared of the dark.
I looked over at the cell across from me...Tay's cell. She was standing in the corner...quietly, as she stared at the wall...all day. We don't even get sleep...just laying there in the darkness...begging for someone to save us. I heard a loud crack and footsteps coming from the hall. I stood up to see it was Cheyenne herself, standing in front of the cell. "Well, I see that you're up and running. How did you sleep?" She asked with a smirk on her face.
"Y-You have n-no idea...what you are doing to us...w-we didn't do anything to you...why must you p-punish us?" I asked. My voice was shaken, but angry. Even though I couldn't use my powers, I looked very strong toward her as she answered my question. "Oh sweet little Andria...don't you get it? You and Tay's powers are the key to breaking the barrier...the Dark world...the world that my father, the man you killed..was created." I stared at her, confused. "And why do you need us? Why our power?" She chuckled as if she was happy. "All I need is your power to weaken to a point where the balance between the Dark World and Elemental World would fade away...leaving the gates to the Dark World...open. And you...have the power of Mariln. The Elemental God king." "And what makes you think I help you?" I said. "Well...if you don't..." She summoned a specter and aimed it at Tay's heart while she was in the cell. "Did I mention I'm a good shot? One blast to the heart and the barrier weakens..not to mention..her death." My eyes widened as I heard those words. I tried to grab her neck but my arm touched the bars, leaving me weak onto the ground. My body started to shiver.
"You really are a fighter Andria..but sooner or later...everyone has their breaking point...I wonder when.." She said, smirking. I got so angry that I ran toward her and grabbed the bars. Even though I started to feel even weaker, I had a serious look on my face and said, "You..are nothing but a little bitch. All that power won't last you long...you kill innocent people...the gods will punish you...and once I get out of this cell,I swear on my mother's grave..I'll fucking kill you my damn self!" I yelled. Cheyenne pushed me away from the bars and onto the ground. She kneeled down and her eyes were narrow. "You may think that. But once I'm done with you...you'll have nothing left...the gods can't punish me...I'm my own god..they will bow down to me." She said as she called Alex to watch over us for the night. Alex came from the door, nodding toward her as Cheyenne walked off. Alex stood there, watching me and Tay in our cell. Tay stared at Alex with anger in her eyes. "I can't believe you...after everything we've been through...you choose that bitch over us?!" Alex looked toward Tay's way and stood up. "Excuse me?" She said. "You fucking heard me. You were our friend! You were Andria's lover! And you nearly killed her! Then, you hide this secret that you were working for Zalor all along!? Who the fuck are you?!" She screamed. Alex stood there, quiet. "We cared for you! We protected you! We had your back and you fucking betrayed us! Listen to me and break out of her control...because if you were really my friend, if you really loved Andria...you would break us out!" Alex looked confused as she started to twitch. Her body was tensing up as she held her head in pain. Tay stared at her as Alex stood up..but this time with fear in her eyes. They were no longer black green. They were her naturally red. She grabbed the bars and told Tay, "P-Please...help me..." She started to twitch again and her eyes went dark green again. "Sweet dreams."
As she said that, an electric bolt went through both of our cells, shocking our bodies and making me shout in pain. I shivered on the cold, hard floor...crying. With burn marks all over me and other scars that have been healing for a while. Though, I wasn't crying because of the pain...I was crying because we've lost everything we had...no one was coming...things were only going to get worse. "You f-fools...no one is coming to save you. Might as well do us a favor..and kill yourselves." I thought to myself in my head... She was right. No one is coming to save us...they have forgotten about us...why...I can't handle this anymore. Alex had tears in her eyes as she saw me lying there...crying. She walked out the cell room, holding her head again and turned off the light for the night.
I had a ball of light in my cell so I could see. I was lying on the wall...thinking to myself...and the only thing I could think about was all the events that had happened. The fight with Zalor, almost getting killed, betrayed by my own friend.. I started talking quietly...but I stopped and ended up crying my eyes out. Then, I started to scream so loud, I began to punch the wall out of anger. My knuckles were bleeding, but I didn't feel any pain. After I was done, I fell to the wall again and began to cry in my hands. That's when I realized...I had finally broken. I was lying there until I heard a voice coming from the hall. "A-Andria...?" a voice said. I looked up to see it was Alex, standing in front of my cell. "W-What do you want?" I said in an angry but broken voice. She stood there...with tears coming out of her eyes. She turned off the weak bars and told me to come closer.
"Why would I trust you...after all that you did...?" She looked down with a sigh and started to speak. Her eyes weren't black. "I...can't imagine what you are going through...seeing you in this cell...It's heartbreaking to me...I didn't want that to happen...Cheyenne's power is much stronger than her dad's. I couldn't control it." She said in a quiet and soft voice. I looked at her confused. I got up from my feet and walked a little closer toward the bars. I gripped my shirt and started to scratch my neck. "I'm sorry...I didn't mean to hurt you- what's that on your chest?" she asked. I looked down at the scars and stitches on my chest. She reached in the cell and looked at me, giving me a nervous look. I knew that look too well because that look meant she was asking if she could move my shirt to the side so she could see what happened. I sighed and nodded as she gently pulled my shirt to the side. She gasped and covered her mouth and stared at me with wide and sad eyes.
I looked at her as I sighed and started to look down. "D-Do they still hurt?" she asked. I nodded and had a tear come down my face. "The day...you betrayed us...I saw in your eyes...you didn't want that to happen...you just wanted to survive...like all of us...but I can't deny that...y-you still left..m-me.." My voice started to break and I went into the corner of the cell and stayed there. Alex, still staring at me, grabbed her key card and scanned it so she could get inside my cell. She walked in and walked toward me to tell me to get up onto my feet. I got on my feet and when I did...she pulled me into a hug...a tight and emotional hug. She was crying as she continued to speak. "I want to help you get out of here...but in order for me to do that...I have to keep my cover...I don't want to hurt ever again...please..forgive me.." she said.
I looked over her shoulder and saw Tay standing up...but instead of being angry...she had a smile on her face and nodded. I nodded as well and hugged Alex back saying, "I forgive you...I trust you..." When she heard those words, she began to cry harder. I was scared but I put my hand on her head and rubbed her back. "Shhh...it's okay...you're okay..." I said. She pulled back and said, "Okay...I have to keep my cover. I promise when the time comes...I'll get you out of here..." "You need to keep that promise. So I know you're not lying." I looked shocked as she pulled back and walked out of the cell. She locked the cell and turned back on the weakened bars. "I promise...Andria.." She noddedas she walked off. I lean on the wall, smiling for the first time in what seems like forever. Tay said, "I saw that look. Now we gotta find our way out of here. Hopefully...the guys will come for us." She said. I nodded and started to fall asleep. As I'm falling asleep, I begin to feel warm...but in a good way. I closed my eyes and started looking into the dark abyss...praying...someone will come save me.
