It hurts...watching my cousin crying in pain as blood drips from her mouth and being dragged into the healing chambers. You can't hear her cries...but you can see them...you can feel them. When you look at her face, it's full of pain, tears, heartbreak, and suffering. Alex used her to get her powers and I didn't even know until now. I was supposed to protect her and I didn't...I won't let this happen to anyone else... I said inside my head, as I'm sitting in the healer's area thinking if she will make it or not. I should never think like that, but I do. I would always see the wrong in serious situations. After all, I lost my other cousin, due to a fatal gunshot inside his lung. Doctors said they didn't know how fast he would recover. I already knew he wouldn't make it. It was only a matter of time.
"Tay..." one of the healers came up to me with an unhappy look on her face. "Is she alright?" I said, with a shaking voice. "She's fine...but she was injured pretty badly. We healed any broken bones or damaged organs but...it's gonna take her a while to wake up. We also did an emotional scan on her. She's...broken...mostly heartbroken but her pride...it's not gonna heal quickly.." She finished. I sighed and nodded at her as she walked off. I crossed my arms and walked into our new cell room. In the room were Tyliah, Naomi, Bri, and Octo waiting for me. "So?" I told what the healer told me. Everyone's faces went completely blank. Octo started to speak. "So we maintained Alex in the chair. She was really tough so we had to put power resisting chains on her. You can go in and talk to her on your signal." "Alright then. Bri, I could use your help. When I tell you too, use your power when I ask her the questions. Can you do that for me?" Bri nodded and we walked to the entrance of the cell. I scanned my hand and the computer started reading my DNA. "Access Complete. Welcome, JaTayvia and Brianna." We walked in and there she was, unconscious from when Naomi knocked her out. I summoned a ball of floating water and threw it at Alex's face, waking her up breathing heavily.
"Rise and shine, you sleepy-head. Time for some answers." Alex looked at us with a sinister and angry look on her face. She looked at Tay, as Bri nodded at Tay. "Now, we all know you are the traitor in our team. You were sent here by your boss. The question is...why?" Alex did a little chuckle. When we looked at her, her face had tears but her eyes were getting darker and darker. Plus when she spoke, it felt like she was trying to say something, but..something else came out. "You really think..I'll tell why I'm here. You're sadly mistaken. You guys are nothing to me...but weak powerless beings. Try your best...you can't make me talk." She finished.
Tay looked at her with anger in her eyes. She punched her in the face one time, but held back and told Bri to use her powers. "On it. Now, this might hurt." Bri's hand began to glow and spark with lightning. She put them on Alex's neck, sending a non-lethal but painful shock wave inside her body, making her scream in pain. "There. That should do the job." Tay walked up to her and started to speak. "Now...tell me everything about your time here. Why were you sent here?" Alex's eyes began glowing purple as she asked the question.
"I was created by Zalor. He gave me the power of dark forest magic and also, the power of visions. I was sent here when I was 12 years old. I was needed for studying the techniques of your team's fighting style. He warned me about a"prophecy." A story of two girls who would become the guardian angels of the elemental gods. I was unsure if this story was true or not. I met Emmet and started to gain his trust. When I was 14, I fought beside him during the Bloodbath war battle. I fought Zalor on my own and started to think maybe I didn't want to be an evil soldier. He called me a traitor and killed half of our team. Over time, my power softened...and my dark magic was suppressed into good magic of light. I had forgotten about the whole mission. I never had any visions because they come in very rarely. But one night, everything changed. The day...you and Andria arrived." Tay stared at her, as Alex is still in a trance. "Go on..." Tay said and Alex began to speak again. "When I touched you and Andria's hand, I saw a vision of you to become the guardian angels. I began to have flashbacks of my original mission, but I tried to forget about it. Then I began to have feelings for Andria. She was sweet, loveable, kind, brave, and strong.
After we witness Emmet's death, she runs headstrong and attacks Zalor without a single touch of blood on her. I made you guys the leaders and took Andria up to the roof. That's when I confessed my love to her and we kissed. When we heard a big explosion in the forest, Zalor was making a ritual to take your powers. The night after you two became the guardian angels, I was in shock. My vision was correct, but that also meant Zalor was correct as well. I began to have more and more flashbacks as the week's progress. Then I remembered that Zalor...had a child..." Tay's eyes grew wide as she continued to listen. "A baby girl with the power of dark fire magic. She was hidden away, due to the fact that Zalor knew he would die. So he gave her away to one of his trusted soldiers to raise into a powerful leader. After she heard about his death, she came back and took over her father's headquarters..."
"Tay, if you want to stop we can," Bri said, putting a hand on my shoulder. I shook my head saying that I wasn't done. "Alex...go on." Alex's eyes turned purple once more as she continued to speak. "I was taking my walk that day, until "she" appeared in front of me. She used some sort of needle and poked my hand with it. I started to remember my mission and told her I would accomplish it. I came back with a different attitude toward you and Andria. That night, I showed all the love I had left for Andria. After that, I had to plan to kill Andria. I still had love left for Andria after that battle. If I did, she would kill me." Tay asked one more question, " What is Zalor's daughter's name?" "Her name is Cheyenne." Tay backed away and walked toward Bri. "Come on Bri, we're down here. Let's go." Me and Bri walked out of the cell and locked it. "Octo, make sure she doesn't do anything stupid." "Will do commander," Octo said. "Time to see how she's doing."
