Chapter 16.  Horse Sanctuary Visit.

The last 3 weeks have been Quiet and strained, Amy has 15 weeks left till baby Borden is due to arrive. Ty has been busy with inoculations and has received a call for help from a local Sanctuary for Mongolian Horses. The've seen one Ranch which though nice, given what there asking plus what it would cost to repair was far too much and they told the Realtor until they bring the price down by the same amount to do the repairs it wont sell.
At Lunch they were sat at the table when Lou says to Amy about how long she has left and no Nursery.
""Lou I have 15 weeks left and I'm not going to waste my money on doing up a Nursery when hopefully we wont be here. Infact I hope we find somewhere quickly. "
Lou looks at Jack n Lisa who seem to be staring each other out.
Amy and Ty have heard them arguing about what Amy said ,with Lisa on Amy's side.
Suddenly Jack gets up and walks out the house.
Lisa looks at Amy and tells her that she told Jack to grow up and stop being so stubborn, She also told him that whatever you do to the Ranch would be for the better. So we just have to wait.
"Thanks Lisa , but I'm not holding my breath and we're not waiting, we have a fantastic Ranch to look at this afternoon within our price range and it's a 1000 Acres."
Amy left the table and went to the Barn in her chair.
Jack walks in completely knackered , Lisa looks at him and asks how long he can keep this up. She also tells him that Amy's not waiting and there going to see a Ranch this afternoon which they may take.
" So Jack you better make up your mind quickly. There's nothing wrong with Amy's proposal for Heartland, infact I'd say she has a good head for business. Amy's grown up a lot over the last couple of years, and you'll regret it if you let her walk away from Heartland."
Ty phones Amy to say he'll pick her up to go to the Sanctuary as there viewing has been cancelled till tomorrow and he'll see her in one hour.
Ty picks Amy up and while driving to the Sanctuary he notices how quiet she is.
"What's up Love I know there's something wrong "
Amy smiles when he calls her Love.
" I'm getting that Woman's intuition feeling again and I think I'm being followed,,  again"
"Ames you on about a black SUV"
Amy nods and Ty looks in his mirror to see a Black SUV some distance away. Ty pulls over at a gas station as Amy needs the Ladies rest room but keeps his eyes in his mirror but no Black truck passes.
When Amy gets back in they set off and a while later he sees it in his mirror again, there definitely being followed.
On there way home Amy gets a call from Jack. She looks at her phone thinking before answering.
"Hello"
"Amy, I'm so sorry for my behaviour and I don't want you or Ty to leave Heartland. I've talked with Lisa and Lou and to be totally honest your plans for Heartland will Improve the Ranch, so I'm Sorry and can we talk when you get back please"
"Yes Grandpa I would Love to have a talk with" ,SCREAM, loud noises of a vehicle crashing and metal tearing then it goes quiet.
"AMY, TY, ."

"LOU ,"
"Yes grampa what's up. " Lou says looking at Jack who's face has gone white with a look of horror on it.
"Grampa what's wrong "
"I was just talking to Amy trying to put thing's right when she let out this awful scream and the sound of a crash and tearing metal, now it's gone quiet .
Ty comes round quite quickly and sees Amy's phone, "Hello, JACK. "
"Ty thank god ,are you both okay, and where are you."
"Jack I think were at the bottom of a small ravine but I can't see Amy and I'm pinned in, cant move. A Black SUV ran us off the road, were about 15 minutes North of Hudson, wait I can here people shouting, hang on a second ( Blare of Ty's car horn , just to let them know .) Amy must of got thrown out on the way down. I cant see her Jack"
"Okay Ty, Stay still incase you've hurt yourself more than you realise, were on our way and we will phone for help. You do the same so they can get your position. We'll see you soon."
Lou was already, she heard most of it as jack had it on speakerphone.
"Right let's go Lou"

After a while Ty heard someone grab the side of the truck , then a man showed up at the passenger door which was still open.
"Are you okay mate,"
"Yeah apart from being pinned in, Look I think my very pregnant wife may have been thrown out on the way down."
" Yeah we got her, she's going to be okay, but the rescue unit will have to cut her free, she's wedged in between to small trees, She's fine and the baby's okay, although I think she hit her head on one of the tree trunks as she's still unconscious. My name's Clint by the way, retired medic."
"Mines Ty Veterinarian, my Wifes name is Amy, The Horse Whisperer ".
"The Miracle Girl "
"Yeah that's her."
"Okay Ty I'm gonna go and check on Amy and see where the help is."
"Thanks Clint."

Jack and Lou turn up just as the rescuers are about to cut Amy out from between the small tree trunks.
"OMG Grandpa, is that Amy. "
Clint walks up and introduces himself and tells them that Amy is fine but unconscious and that the Baby is doing alright. Then explained that Ty is pinned in his truck but he's okay too. There both very Lucky.

About 3 hours Later there all at home , Amy and Ty Feel bruised and tired. They spoke to the police and Ty told them about the Black SUV and how it hit them and ran them of the road. Thankfully there were witnesses who saw everything including the Registration number.
Amy and Ty were sat curled up on the Sofa and had both fell asleep holding each other. Jack pulled the blanket off the back of the Sofa and covered them both then went into the Kitchen to talk quietly with Lou and Lisa while having a coffee.
Lisa asks Jack if there okay and he tells them there both asleep holding on to each other.
Awww says Lou who knows just how much they love each other. "So Grandpa what about this Black SUV ."
"We we know who drives them when he's in this country, but it's not registered in his name, no evidence ."
Jack says very annoyed.
Two days later Ty and Amy feel much better, Ty's back at work but using his Motorcycle and Lou takes Amy to find a Truck that would suit her needs. Ty's wreck of a truck is in the Quonset hut waiting to be rebuilt.
Amy wants a RAM Truck with the horse Trailer hitch inside the rear bed of the truck. There having a good look around and Lou says how small Amy looks next to one of these trucks but understands that if they had been in one the SUV wouldn't have been able to push them off the road.
Amy finds the one she wants and Lou mentions about how much interest she's going to have to pay.
Amy laughs and tells Her Sister she's paying cash, all 50,000 Dollars of it. The Base price is 42,000. Then Amy see's a used one in a lovely Blue that as Lou mentioned matches her eyes that's only 4 yrs old with a Trailer hitch already fitted for $32,000. Think I'll have this one. Save myself about 20,000.
When she drives home she's in love with her new truck, (well new to her).
They get in and Jack says Coffee, both Lou and Amy say Yes Please.
Amy sits at the table and asks Her Grandpa if he wants to talk which he does.
An hour later and there both hugging and Jack says she can start when ever she wants to. Thank you Grandpa, you'll like it.
