Chapter 19. An Early Surprise

Two more weeks had passed and the builders had been and finished refurbishing the outside pens. Everything was done except the building of the Clinic.
Amy was busy trying to get any extra funding in exchange for free advertising on the website.
Amy and Ty had the funds to build it but are hoping that they can get most of it from donations or Charities,  everything that they can get means less to come out of there savings. A lot of Horse Charities are eager to help as it will be the only clinic specializing in Equine health care and Surgery.
Amy was very proud of Ty as he'd been doing advanced Equine Studies on line rather than having to go to university and he was doing really well.
There were two weeks left till the due date of there Daughter and Amy was in the Barn office. While she was in there she arranged to have proper internet and Wi-Fi fitted in the house and Barn.

Ty came running in as he was in one of the Stalls, and saw Amy standing there with a large puddle on the floor. Amy tossed her truck keys to Ty and he ran to the house to get her Hospital Bag. Lou saw and asked Ty if Amy was in Labour, he nodded and said Yes her waters just broke, on our way to the hospital.Will call you later Lou, and off he ran.
6 hours later Ty came out to the waiting room to see if anyone had come to the Hospital and they were all there.
"Well hows Amy doing " says Lou.
"Baby Girl born 5 mins ago 7lb 6oz. And Amy was brilliant, she's okay Lou. I'll come and get you when Amy's ready."
Ty went back to Amy and as soon as he saw her holding their daughter he could see the great big loving Smile on her face so he quickly snapped a photo and sent it to Lou.
"Hey Beautiful,  how are you. Amy looked up at Ty with tears in her eyes( these were happy tears) .
" Oh Ty she is so perfect, look at her, we made her "
"Have you come up with a name yet Ames"
"Yes, if you like it,
Lynzy Marion Bartlett Borden, what do you think Ty"
"I Love it,  and the way you spelt Lynzy."
"That's her name then,  I love you Ty Borden".
"I Love you so much Amy, thank you for giving me such a beautiful Daughter"
"I could say the same to you too Ty Borden, Dito."
They held each other and kissed then both kissed Lynzy at the same time "
Two Nurses came in and said they were going to clean Amy up ready for visitors,  so Ty said he'd go and get a Coffee and asked Amy if she wanted one but she said that water would do fine.
"Okay, 15minutes long enough. "
Both nurses nodded.
He gave Amy a kiss and left them to it.

Ty walked into the waiting room and said to them that he was going to the Cafeteria as it would be 15 or 20 minutes while they clean Amy and the baby up then everyone can visit.
On the way down Lou said how beautiful the baby was and Ty didn't know he had tears falling down his face. Lou wiped them off with her thumb and smiled at him then Lou kissed his cheek saying "Congratulations Dad.
Ty really smiled .
Lou ,Ty, Lisa and Jack came to see Amy and the Baby, who was the spitting Image of her Mum when Amy was born.
In the morning Amy was told she could go home as soon as her husband turned up.  Amy sent a text to Ty giving him the good news and said she'd see him in a couple of hours.
When they got home the front of the Ranch House was all decorated welcoming home Mother and daughter and the family and friends were all stood on the porch waiting.
Ty looked at Amy and saw tears Streaming down her face, but with a big smile.
Everyone crowded round her congratulating her and Ty on the birth their baby, and when Ty came round with the Car seat it was aww's and cooing to her. Everybody was saying how beautiful she was and looked so much like Amy.
Eventually after Jack came to the rescue they were able to get inside.
Lou and Lisa had done a wonderful job inside the house with Decorations  and the Food, Amy was overcome with emotions.  Amy said to Ty she was going to their bedroom to feed Lynzy  and grab 30 minutes peace.

Two days later everything had settled down and Amy was having breakfast when Jack spoke up telling her how proud he was of not just giving him another Granddaughter but what she had done to Heartland.  He then produced their local Newspaper which had a two page spread with loads of Photos of the New Heartland and the story of what Amy had done even from her w/chair which then told how Amy had overdone it then a small piece about how she survived being thrown out of the Loft doors.
Lou told her that the Link from Amy's Website to Lou's was working and all the messages of support and welldone's to her for making Heartland look great again.

Three months had passed and Lynzy was already sleeping through the night. To be honest they didn't really have any trouble at all apart from when she wanted feeding and then she fell asleep again. Lou told Amy that all babies differ and her second one could be completely the opposite,  amy had already  told Lou that once she was three they'd try for number two and then the same for number three.  Lou just looked at Amy and said she was a glutton for punishment.  Amy told Lou they both wanted lots of babies with a big smile on her face.

Ty and Amy had finally finished doing up the Nursery ready for Lynzy, they had the naming ceremony when she was two months old and Jack loved it when there was no Fleming in her name after all Amy was a Bartlett and unknown to everyone until Amy needed her Birth Certificate, they found Amy's real name ( Amelia Lyndy Bartlett) which shocked them all , Marion obviously kept that a Secret from Tim and had always called her Amy so thought that was her name.
Amy was thinking of getting back to work but everyone suggested she wait till Lynzy was 6 months old and make the most of this bonding time. She thought about it and realised that she was still quite Lethargic not just from the birth but her health too had taken a battering,  so she asked Ty if he would mind and he didn't,  infact he was very pleased that she had listened to him and the Family. 

A week later and Cass at the Clinic was causing problems, mainly about the shifts even though she knew the reason why Ty had been away so much. Scott reprinted the shift rotate and Ty noticed that he was on two Night Shifts which he wasn't happy about and neither would Amy be.
Ty came home and sat outside on the Porch seats . Amy came out and could see there was something on his mind.
Amy sat on his lap putting her arm around his shoulders and kissing him , "what's up my Love, hard day at work".
"Work was okay but Cass wasn't,  she's  causing problems with her shifts and throwing it back at me."
"Well she knows why and I'm sorry to say it Ty but I'm still not well . I don't know what's wrong but something's not right."
Ty hugged her and said he was going to book an appointment at the doctors.
The following day they were both sat waiting for Amy's appointment when Dr Viriani called them in.
"So Amy what seems to be the problem "
" I honestly don't know,  I feel so Lethargic,  I hope that infection in my spine hasn't returned,  but then again my hormones ,I think, are acting weird."
"Okay then let's get some Blood tests sorted shall we. "
Thank you they both said after she'd taken Amy's blood and told them she'd phone with the results in a couple of days.
True to her word Dr Virana phoned Amy with the results, it was a Thyroid infection and told Amy to get Ty to call in and pick up her medication,the Antibiotics should clear it up within the week and she should start feeling better in a couple of days.
Ty was happy that's all it was and quickly nipped out to pick up the medication for his wife.
Six days later and Amy was back to her normal self again,  her and Lynzy were inseparable and although Amy didn't want to wish the time away she couldn't wait to be pregnant again eventually,  she actually enjoyed it even though it messed her back up towards the end of the pregnancy,  from month 6 to the 9th, but Amy wasn't worried about that.
Lynzy was 4 months old and a real sweetheart.  Ty bought another Security Camera for the Nursery and even made sure the one he fitted for Amy was okay and even formatted the 2GB memory card,  especially if he had to start doing night shifts again which he limited to 2 a week much to Cass's annoyance.
Scott decided to have a word with her explaining that she was single and Ty was married with a child and a wife who still wasn't 100% fit after everything she  had been through.  Cass walked back out and sheepishly apologised to Ty.
Lynzy was four and a half months old now and Amy was starting to get used to the two nights a week Ty was at the Clinic except for one night when Lou pulled a practical Joke on Amy and almost gave her a heart attack,  so now she Locks every door and window, even Dead Locking the backdoor including the external door in the Nursery which also had two DeadBolts permanently locked as the door wasn't used. She had Dead Bolts fitted to all the doors but she cant do it to the mudroom door or nobody could get in. But it's always Locked, key taken out so Jack or Ty can get in using their own keys.
Ty was on Night shift, Jack and Lisa were away for the weekend and of course Lou was in her own home. Amy locked up as usual and went to bed after she made sure the security system was on for their room and the Nursery..
