"please, please drive me! i can't show up to school walking. i bet nobody walks to school!" i plead to my parents. my first day outfit was difficult enough to pick out from my wardrobe, i am just glad i'm not required to wear a uniform like at my old school.

"i have to be at work, like right now! but i will quickly drop you off. starting tomorrow you are walking, got it?" mom explains.

i groan, "okay, but can you please drive me today?" i yell.

"yes, get in the car." she says.

i rushed with all of my things. today i would be bringing my backpack, my tablet, and my lunch. i was too focused on my new shoes to care which way mom was going. i fiddled with the shoes laces as i rode to school. "okay, we are here." mom says shortly.

  that was fast!

"okay, thank you mom, so much!" i say, leaning over to give her a kiss on the cheek. "have a good day, if you need me, call me." she says.

i rush into the school yard, everyone around me seemed to be going slow. they seemed as if they hardly cared where they were. i was probably standing out right now, looking all crazy-like. i decided to calm down and keep things cool.

"y/n!" i heard a familiar voice call me. i turned to see jimim jogging over to me. he was in ripped black jeans and a white tshirt. his hair was a mess, but it was a hot mess. he wore sunglasses today, even though the sky is grey. "hey, jimin, right?" i ask, although i'd never forget his name.

"yeah, you look good." he says, admiring my choice of clothes today. i wore jeans and a pink velvet shirt. it was simple but i feel as though it compliments my complexion. "thank you, you look good too." i say.

"thanks, do you have your schedule?" he asks. i nod, handing him the wadded up piece of paper. he unravels it while comparing mine to his, "we have the exact same schedule, perfect!"

"so," i begin, taking my schedule back, "did you just happen to see us moving yesterday? or do you go up to all the houses and welcome them?" i laugh. he chuckles, "i live across the street, i could hear you complaining from two hundred feet away."

my face turns red, "you actually heard that?"

"yeah, you should cut your parents some slack. this town isn't all that bad... look on the bright side, you have a nice house and you are beautiful, everyone here is going to love you." jimin shrugs, opening the door for me just as the bell rings.

we walk in together and find our first class. luckily this is the first day for everyone, so there are no assigned seats yet. jimin and i take a seat in the front while other students sit towards the back.

"i can hear them talking about me." i say, trying to hide my face from the rest of the class. "they just haven't seen a new girl in a long time, from what i can tell, it's all nice things." jimin tries to reassure me.

the teacher comes in and quiets down the classroom. "well, we have a new face this year, please, could you come to the front and introduce yourself?" she waves for me.

jimin taps his foot on mine and i slowly stand up, making my way to the front of the class. i face my peers, "hi, my name is y/n. i am eighteen and i just moved in my house yesterday... uh- i am from minland." i say, trying to tell them a little about myself.

"oh, minland? that's a big city, you moved pretty far to come to this small town." the teacher says. i nod, "yeah, my parents wanted to move here, so here i am."

  "right, well that's-"

suddenly, the door opens, interrupting the teacher. we all look to see a guy walking in. i stare at him with my mouth slightly open, something about his presence made my heart beat faster. the guy looks at me as if he could feel me looking at him and says, "sorry i'm late."

he was dressed in all black, even his eyes looked black. his hair was messy and his skin was pale. i watched as a smirk formed on his face as he looked at me.

"just take your seat, jeon jungkook. we were just getting to know our new student, y/n." the teacher addresses me.

"please, don't let me interrupt." he snarls, making his way to the back along with what seemed like his friend group.

"well, y/n, thank you for sharing with the class, you may take your seat." the teacher says. i look towards jimin to see him staring at that one guy in the back. and i could feel that one guy staring directly at me. i tried to think nothing of it as i took my seat, but jimin seemed to insist on bringing him up, "don't talk to him."

  "what?" i ask.

"just don't talk to him or anyone around him. he's bad news." jimin whispers. i could feel that guy, him staring at me, his presence in the room. i'd never felt like this before...

class went on and i learned all about the teacher's cats and each one of their eating habits. i learned about her son, which is only thirteen, and how he likes to eat sugar out of the jar. how strange...

"class dismissed." the teacher says right as the bell rings. i gather my things and jimin takes my hand in his, "follow me."

he was in a big rush for some reason as we fled from the classroom. he took me to our next class which was astronomy. i remember i chose this class when my mom was picking classes for me. i want to learn about the solar system and stars. "i doubt he's gonna be in this class." jimin says under his breath.

"who?" i ask.

"oh, uh, no one." jimin smiles at me, releasing my hand from his. "so, i known it's only day one, but, i think you're super cool. we should be friends." jimin says.

"i agree." i nod my head.

the rest of the day goes great, lunch was smooth, jimin introduced me to some of his friends. soon, school is over and i was surprised that jimin gave me a ride home.

the whole ride felt longer than the ride this morning, and jimin just kept talking about his friends and everything. i wasn't really focused on much, other than the feeling i had from this morning. it was still fresh on my mind, that feeling from when that one guy came to class. it
made me feel... strange. out of place.

"here we are." jimin says.

"thanks for the ride." i say, getting out of the car.

"hey, no problem!" he smiles, giving me a wave.

once i was in my house, i was relieved to see my family home. "hey, i just want to say, i'm sorry for being so rude lately. i haf a good day at school, maybe this place is better than minland..." my parents stared at me, astonished.

"don't apologize, we knew you'd find a way to make this place home." mom says, giving dad a smile.

i head up to my room to unpack some more... little did i know that tomorrow would be a game changer for me.
