♡Chapter 34: Lucero first appointment♡

Lucero POV

Filling out paperwork looks at Lauren with tears as Esmy asleep in car seat and Logan at abuelita.

I eat crackers while waiting, "Thank you sis, Cesar was working,  and mom and dad are out of town."

Lauren looks at me, "I would love to be here anytime."

They get my vitals looks at nurse, "Can my sister knock at bathroom door when doctor comes?"

Nurse nods and pats my shoulder, "Trust me we understand 100%".

I nod and run to bathroom and get sick for 20 minutes when hears knock and brushes my mouth looks at Lauren pale, "Why do they call it morning sickness?"

Dr. Maldonado and Lauren help me on hospital bed. Dr. Maldonado checks me over and we hear heartbeat with tears looks at Lauren, "Look sis that's my baby. All this sickness is worth for the heartbeat."

Dr. Maldonado smiles and gives me copies and I clean my tummy, "Schedule your 16 week and 20 week because I know your family history we will watch for signs of seizures or high risk."

Lauren smiles nods, "Thank you doc, I don't think my family wants to go through that again."

I get her hand, "Hey you are doing better."

Flaca POV

Calling Lauren sobbing in waiting room, "Please come I don't know what to do!! They don't think he will be okay Lola"

Lauren answers listening, "I just got home, and Lucero says she can pick up the kids and watch Amber."

Crying shaking holding his necklace as watching door for them to update.

Sees Lauren run in and I cry on her and she hold me close on a chair, "Flaca what happened? I passed your house and crime tape everywhere."

I lay my head on her shoulder trying to calm, "I had just gotten out of the car and we remembered we forgot dinner in backseat.  Lauren it happened within a minute I didn't even see a car. Some dumbass came speeding and hit the sidewalk and hit the back of car and ran. I heard it and by the time I ran out he was unconscious on sidewalk. He never woke up in the ambulance and no one has updated me."

Lauren just holds me and rocks me sees doctor come in, "This is his wife and I am his brothers wife. How is he doing?"

Doctor looks at us and sighs, "He made it through surgery but the next 48 hours will say everything. He has 5 broken ribs, bruises all over his body, a minor brain injury, his blood pressure keeps going up and down (which we gave him medication for), his ankles and right knee is broken, and he died twice on the table. I am sorry ma'am but he is not out of the wood until he wakes up, and as soon as we finished the surgery he went into a coma."

I look at him in shock crying hard, "When can I see him? Can I please stay with him? What about our daughter, can she see him? If he he passes away I don't want him alone."

Doctor pats my shoulder, "I will have a nurse come get you when he is ready, yes you can stay with him over night, due to the situation I will let your daughter come see him for at least a hour a day." 

I just nod and lay head on Lauren.

Lauren POV

Rubs her back and texts everyone updates and texts Oscar, "Come over as soon as you can, he is not doing good. He doesn't know if he is going to make it."

Watches Flaca cry and wipes her tears soft, "Scream, punch me, do something. You can't hold it in"

Flaca looks at me shaking, "I am numb and I wish it was a dream. I can't lose him Lauren he is my world and how do I tell our daughter? How do I tell Oscar and Cesar? Those three are closer than if they were blood."

I rub her back and hold her tight, "If that day comes I will be there with you to tell all, but Tony isn't going to leave you without a fight."

Flaca nods and we go in room when nurse tells us and sees her sit next to his bed and rubs his hand, "Hey you fight Mr. its not Flaca without Sad Eyes, our little Amber needs her daddy."

I come next to her and looks at machines and rubs Tony head that not injured, "Hey don't make me get Oscar to kick your ass."

Flaca chuckles quietly and puts his cross in his hand and watches as machines help him breathe, "Baby you got to fight this shit, please! I can't imagine growing old without you. I love you from the moon and back."
