Goes to waiting room after bonding time with Lauren as she is asleep.
Comes to hallway with her outfit and smiles and comes in, "Hi everyone come here and meet Lorena Esmy Diaz, named after her Mommy, Great Abuelita, and Abuelita. She was 6lb 2oz and 19 in." Comes next to Logan and shows him baby and he points and says, "Baby tiny daddy, can I kiss her?"
Oscar nods and watches him and after 5 minutes looks at everyone and sighs as Cesar takes Logan to hallway, "Our little girl is perfect, it is Lauren they are worried about. By the time the C-section was over, her hip was swollen double, her BP was 200/95, and her pulse was all over. The doctor doesn't want anyone to see her until the BP officially is down. She said to tell everyone thank you for coming."
Esmeralda comes next to me and holds me as I cry softly finally as I hand baby to Fernando, "Sweetheart its okay to cry you been through a lot and was scared of losing your girls. We will keep Cesar and Logan at our house."
Wipes my tears and looks away wiping them hugs everyone. Flaca holds me and rubs my back, "Hey Mano, if you need anything please let us know you are not alone."
Hugs Logan before they leave, "Daddy will call you daily and visit every other day." Logan nods, "Daddy you take care of mommy and baby Esmy. I am a tough cookie."
Smiles and hugs everyone and goes to room with baby and smells her butt chuckles, "You are your brothers sister." Changes her diaper and smiles lays her next to Lauren and just takes pictures and sees Lauren waking slow, "Hi beautiful look at the miracle we made."
Lauren smiles and rubs her little cheek softly and smiles at her smile whispers, "My sweetgirl we fought a hard fight, you are our little Lorena Esmy, or Esmy for short."
I rub her head and kiss her head, "How are you feeling baby?" Lauren looks at me, "As if someone ran me over but I will be okay Oscar, doc told me about everything going on with me."
Lauren POV
Oscar looks at me, "You scared the crap out of me Lauren, I thought we were going to lose you from that blood pressure."
I rub his cheek and wipe the tears, "I would never leave my family on purpose." Holds Lorena with tears and gives her bottle, "They told me I can start nursing tomorrow." Looks at her eyes and smiles, "She has mine and moms eyes."
Oscar smiles and nods, "That's the first thing your dad said. Baby you should have seen your dad, the minute he held her he started to cry soft. Your mom has pictures of everyone holding her she going to send them later. Even Jamal and Dwayne and wife came and Ruby and family. "
I lay head on his shoulder, "I would have loved to see everyone reaction but we need rest."
Nurse checks both of us and checks my vitals and sighs and hands Esmy to Oscar, "Lauren look at me and tell me what you feeling and tell me truth."
I look at her scared, "Really hot and the need to vomit but won't come out. As I held my baby my arms ached really bad."
Nurse puts pressure on back of my neck and gets me the container to vomit and rubs same spot, "You have a fever of 104 and its concern for seizures have you had one before."
I look at her and think, "When I was little maybe about 8 or 9." Scared sees another nurse take Esmy to nursery.
15 minutes later has 2 seizures one after another.
Oscar POV
In hallway pacing updating everyone looks at Dr. Maldonado, "Doc what's wrong with my wife?"
Dr. Maldonado sits me down, "She had 2 epileptic attacks on top of that she has 104 fever, we have started a iv and medication on her for both. The next 24 hours will sum everything up."
I listen and nod, "Can I please see her? I won't touch her or anything."
Dr. Maldonado nods, "once the fever comes down, I will have a nurse come get you. You know we know her history and you have to believe she will be okay. "
