- he likes to do self care with ashlyn when things get tough

- if anything she’s the person he goes to all the time

- whether it be just plain hanging out, spilling some tea, or having the grand adventure of a lifetime

- but ashlyn ain’t about the adventure life so they stay inside and watch movies

- they kinda outgrew it when ej became a freshman, but it got back to normal when he was a junior

- this has been something they’ve done since they were kids

- but he was proved wrong when she dragged him to her house and jammed out to their old playlist and marathoned harry potter in face masks while ashlyn braided ej’s hair

- he just wanted to look out for ashlyn- if anything he thought she would be embarrassed to be around him

- once they were done with that she taught ej how to paint her nails

- also did i mention ej can cook?

- and damn does ej know how to paint nails- because he can

- he likes making food with ashlyn and tries out vegan recipes for her

- but he honestly loves baking
- just not with ashlyn

- and the memories are great- but at least the food is good

- that usually ends in flour everywhere
