As school let out Avery and I went downtown to have some fun and let out a little stress. We walked around a bit and went into some stores. Avery bought some new shoes and a jacket while I bought a new hat, more guitar and bass strings, with some more picks.
"Aye, you play guitar or something?" Avery asked
"Yeah and bass but but I'm not THAT good." I say
"Oh nice, you've gotta show me how you play one day!" Avery said
"Heh, ok sure." I say
We started to get hungry and found a nearby restaurant, we headed in and ordered our food and drinks. As we were talking I noticed someone ordering a drink, it was Julia? The girl turned around and it was her!
"Aye, Julia." I say
"What's up, Athena." Julia says with a smile while walking up to me and Avery
"Nothing much, just hanging with a new friend." I say pointing to Avery
"Sup, names Avery Fernandez." Avery said
"Nice to meet ya, names Julia Kate" Julia Said
"Same goes here." Avery said
"So the others here?" I ask taking a sip from my drink
"Nah, i was bored and the others had something to do so I thought I'd just check your town out for a bit and you know spot." Julia Said smirking
"Oh, shi? Bet, I haven't seen the whole town yet but I'm making it slowly." I say laughing
"That reminds me, you trying to go out with the guys later this week to graffiti some shit up?" Julia Asked
"Ight bet, when doh?" I ask
"Um, I don't know, how bout Wednesday?" Julia Asked
"Bet, I don't have much so you guys should bring some too." I say
"Yeah, for sure. We can't always rely on our leader." Julia Said smiling
"Yeah." I say smiling
"Also is this your girlfriend?" Julia Asked
"Huh?! Oh no we're just friends." Avery said
"You sure? Because it looks like a date to me." Julia Said chuckling
"No she isn't my girlfriend, leave her alone. Plus I already have someone in mind." I mumbled the last part.
"Oh ok, well you need a love life soon Athena." Julia Said
"Yeah yeah, piss off." I say
"Ok, boss. Anyways I have to head back home soon so see ya, by the way let's meet at the park again!" Julia Said while walking away grabbing her drink from the counter
"Ok!" I say while she walks out
"So you do graffiti?" Avery asked
"Yeah." I say
"That's so cool! You should take me one day! Also take a picture of your art I'd love to see it!" Avery said taking a bite out of her lunch
"Heh, sure but I need your number first so I can contact you." I say
"Ok, here." Avery said while giving me her number
"Ight were set." I say giving her my number too
"Hey, Athena do you like the president?" Avery asked
"Huh? N-No. What makes you think that?!" I say blushing a little
"Because it looked like you guys were on a date. So come on just tell me, I know you like her." Avery said smirking
"Y-Yeah... I do." I say while sipping my drink
"HA! Knew it. But you should ask her out if you like her." Avery said while taking the last bite of her food
"Yeah, I will once I feel like I know her better." I say
"Ok then, but just know she's popular in school, all and I mean ALL the girl want her." Avery said
"Wow, thanks for the reassurance. And does that mean that you like her too?" I say laughing
"Oh hell no. She's hella mean!" Avery said
"Really? She's nice to me. Maybe it's because you annoy her." I say laughing again
"Ha Ha, Yeah very funny, but really she's mean to everyone in school. She always gives off a cold glare too." Avery said
"Damn, looks like she has two sides." I say
"Yup." Avery said
After we finished eating we both headed back home.
"Hey, Athena?" Avery asked
"Yeah?" I say
"Do you have a job?" Avery asked
"N-No, why do you ask?"
"It's because it seems like you have a lot of money considering you paid for the both of us." Avery said
"Oh, haha, don't worry about that. My mom just gives me money." I say scratching the back of my neck
Like hell she does, I only have money because I play my instruments and post my work online while streaming and making videos.
"Oh yeah that's right your the daughter of Sanchez Tech!" Avery said
"Yup, but how'd you know about us?" I ask
"Oh it's because I have brothers and they game so they talk about your mother's company a lot. They also say that they love the things you guys make." Avery said
"Heh, that's nice." I say
"Yup. But this is my stop. See ya tomorrow!" Avery said
"Alright, see ya." I say walking back on my own while listening to music thinking what's the next thing I should compose or make a cover of. As I was thinking I see a familiar figure, it's Mei.
"Hey, Mei!" I say
"Oh hey, Athena!" Mei says running to me and then hugged me
"What you doing here?" I ask smiling returning the hug
"Nothing much just wanted to get a drink before heading back home, also what's in the bag?" Mei says
"It's nothing it's just a hat." I say walking back home together.
"Okay."Mei Said
"Let's head back home." I say while Mei just nodded her head while reaching out for my hand. We held hands until we got home and Mei started to cook while I took a bath still thinking about my main job.
Hmm, maybe I'll post like 2 covers and compose around 5 new songs 3 of them having no lyrics while the other 2 having lyrics. Or maybe one of them should also have lyrics but only a little, kinda like lofi music. Hmmmm, Yeah maybe I'll do that. 2 covers, 5 new songs, 2 with lyrics, 2 without, 1 with minimal.
"Athena diners ready!" Mei yelled
"Coming!" I say getting out of the bathroom drying myself off while putting on clothes.
"Hey, Mei mom just texted me and said that she'll becoming back Thursday night instead of Wednesday so yeah. Also I'm going out on Wednesday with my friends." I say eating
"Ok, what are you guys going to be doing?" Mei asked
"You have my insta, you'll see." I say smiling
"Okay." Mei Said
We finished our food and I washed the dishes while Mei was in the shower. As I was done with the dishes I decided to open my closet and put the strings and picks where my other strings and picks are.
Hmm, good thing I bought new strings looks like I should change my strings soon. They look kinda gross.
I hear the bathroom door open and I quickly closed my closet so Mei wouldn't see what was in there.
"Night Mei." I say
"Night Athena." Mei says as we both fall asleep in each other's arms once again.
