"Marsha," Gabrial said
"If this is about Mei's wedding it's already settled," Marsha said
"What do you mean it's already settled?! Did you even tell her?!" Gabrial asked
"With it being settled I mean, that the other family already said 'yes'," Marsha said
"When was this?!" Gabrial exclaimed
"Two months ago," Marsha said
"TWO MONTHS AGO?!" Gabrial asked
"Stop yelling and yes," Marsha said
"No, I won't and stop avoiding the question, did you tell Mei?!" Gabrial asked
"God, you are loud and no I didn't, I'll tell her soon though," Marsha said
"Well, I can't help it because that's our daughter's happiness on the line! And when is that?" Gabrial asked
"Around this week, we're all busy," Marsha said
"Ugh, ok but you'd better tell her around this week as you said," Gabrial said walking out

Two weeks later

"Mei, could you come here," Marsha said
"Yeah?" I asked
"Take a set," Marsha said gesturing Mei to sit in front of her
"What's up?" I ask
"It's about your marriage," Marsha said
"O-Oh...," I say
"Yes, anyways, you will be marring Layla Collins," Marsha said
"WHAT?!" I exclaimed

HELL NO!

"Is there a problem?" Marsha asked
"N-No, there isn't but I didn't think it'd be her. I thought it would be a dude or something," I say
"Well, I do support LGBTQ+," Marsha said
"Yeah... but when is the wedding?" I ask

How am I supposed to tell Athena?! Shit! Hopefully, she doesn't get pissed... who am I kidding she probably will!

"It's around a month or so," Marsha said
"WHAT?! Why didn't you tell me sooner?!" I exclaimed
"Don't yell at me and you know I'm busy but at least I told you," Marsha said
"Yeah, true," I say looking down
"Mhm, also, Layla has everything planned for the wedding and your dress has already been chosen," Marsha said
"O-Oh ok," I say
"Mhm, you can go now," Marsha said
"Yeah... bye," I say walking out

How the fuck am I supposed to tell her?! UGH!

"Hey, dad," I say
"What's up?" Gabrial asked
"Um, mom just told me about the marriage..." I say
"I thought she told you that like last week?" Gabrial asked confused
"No, she didn't she just did it right now," I said
"Oh, well who is it?" Gabrial asked
"Layla..." I say
"Wait, your friend Layla?" Gabrial asked
"Yeah, and I don't know how to tell Athena," I say
"Well, I think you should just sit her down and tell her the truth," Gabrial said
"Ok, but do you think she'll get mad?" I ask
"I can't answer that but I think she'll understand, she has a pretty open mind and is very nonchalant," Gabrial said
"Yeah, but when she's mad she gets blinded," I say
"We all get blinded by emotions but I'm pretty sure she'll catch herself," Gabrial said
"Yeah, thanks dad, I'll tell you more about it when your off work," I say
"Ok, I'll talk to you in a bit, love you," Gabrial said
"Love you too," I say ending the call

"Ugh, shit," I whisper

A Week later

"Athena, can you come here," I say sitting on our bed with anxiety
"Yup, coming'" Athena said
"What's up?" Athena asked
"You should sit down," I say
"Uh, ok?" Athena said
"... Athena, I love you really I do. You are a great person but I have to tell you something...," I say
"You breaking up with me?" Athena asked with a poker face

God I hate it when you have a poker face

"...Yeah... BUT I don't want too!... Look, you know how my family is the riches family here?" I ask
"Yeah," Athena said
"Yeah, well my mom got me an arranged marriage so I can take the company and that's why I have to break up with you..." I say looking down

*sigh*

"Ight, so when your wedding?" Athena asked
"Like next month, why?" I ask
"Well,... because we have two options. Option one we break up right now as you said. Or option two we still date until like the week before the wedding then break up. Either way, it's going to hurt," Athena said
"... I think it's better for us to break up now..." I say hoping she wouldn't yell
"Does that decision make you happy?" Athena asked
"No! None of this makes me happy! I want to be with you and you only not with Layla!" I say
"Wait, did you just say Layla?" Athena asked
"Yeah and I know right," I say
"That fucking bitch," Athena mumbled
"What?" I ask
"N-Nothing and yeah, same here I'm not happy about what the hell is going on but did you try to argue with your mom?" Athena asked
"I would but I don't have much say into this marriage thing plus I'm the only child like you so I kinda have to take the companies you know?" I ask
"Yeah, I know what you mean," Athena said
"Yeah, don't you have to take over too?" I ask
"Not sure, my mom never said anything about that," Athena said
"Oh ok, lucky. Maybe it's because of your job," I say
"Maybe," Athena said
"So... your not mad?" I ask
"Nah, you followed your heart and you were forced to do something you didn't want to do so I understand," Athena said
"Yeah, so... is this goodbye?" I ask
"I guess so," Athena said
"Yeah..." I say
"Want one last hug before this shit goes down officially?" Athena asked
"Yeah please," I say
